I miss the good ol΄ days when I could restart my games without having to worry about any event pokemon or trained pokemon whenever I wanted to play the game from 0 again.
Not what we meant though...we kinda don't want to have to catch ten bazillion Pokemon in B/W2, and then trade the same amount just to transfer our Pokemon over.
Lucky for me I only have about 4 dozen Pokemon I want to transfer over.
.. But I really hope there is some way to transfer them over without trading...
Finally gave in and preordered it. And downloaded Keldeo while I was there. Oh, that reminds me. I need to look up what the best way to EV train it would be.
I like EV training random pokes for no good reason other than the fact that I feel like I've contaminated them if I haven't...
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
No Pokemon Transfer apparently for B/W to B2/W2...which sucks because I have a lot of EV trained Pokemon and a bunch of Legendaries that I would like to keep for no reason and so I can point and laugh at people who don't have an Arceus. xD
...Wow that's one ridiculously long sentence. o.0
WHAT? Where did you hear this?
Backloggery. Now playing: 3D Dot Game Heroes, Donkey Kong, EarthBound Beginnings, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, and Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+.

Huh? People who own the game already said there's no Pokemon transfer in B2/W2. So you have to trade for your old Pokemon from B/W.

That I'm not sure, since I was talking about for B/W, I'm assuming they'll still have something for older generation games like Gold/Silver/Platinum/etc.
...Er, then...why wouldn't it work with B/W?...Ugh, I'm confusing myself now. T.T
All I heard was that you can't transfer Pokemon from Black and White, why is this in the General forum anyways? xD

I made this thread literally seconds after the games were announced and thought we wouldn't get a confirmed console for a while so I put it under general discussion thinking mods could move threads.
Stupid me.
Oh, makes sense I guess...anyways I'm looking around on Seribii and can't find ANYTHING on transfers in general. :/
EDIT: Yeah...looks like it'll only do Gen 4. Go figure. :c http://www.serebii.net/black2white2/compatibility.shtml
New generations add more info to pokemon, so they can't be simply traded away between generations. A new system is usually made to make it possible for older pokemon to be "adapted" for new generations.
With no doubt, BW2 have a way to fransfer pokemon from older DS games to them, and it's probably unchanged from BW.
Since Black and White and Black 2 and White 2 are within the same generation, using the same transfer method is unnecessary because there's no new info to add to those pokemon.
Trading is the only option because, even though both games take place in different points in time story-wise, they're still contemporaneous in the real world.
It still would be nice instead of trading ten bazillion times, lol.
Anyways, subject change, since it looks like I'll be able to get this game after launch. (was saving money for Wii U and Paper Mario, but I'll be fine money-wise regardless) How does Hard Mode work exactly...does it like "start a new game" only that you get to keep everything? What are the Gym Leaders be like? I mean, if I used my Pokemon from the first time, wouldn't I be able to take them down easily or something?

Um...what's all the complaining about not having transfer about? Trading is clearly superior to transferring, as the pokemon can go back and forth between the games.
So what's the problem here? Why would anyone prefer transfer over trading?

This has already been answered. And for future reference, Serebii has everything known about the games. You did link to that site not too long ago, but I'll remind you.
....Um, Mad and I just explained why...we don't want to trade ten bazillion times just to get Pokemon from B/W we want to keep to the new game. Transfer would go by a LOT faster, even with the silly and unnecessary minigame. But with trading...that's like going and catching like what...50+ rats and trading 50+ times just to get your other Pokemon over. >_>

Well I know, but it still wasn't clear...I mean is the first gym going to have a team of level 60 Pokemon or something? Or will they still be low leveled?
EDIT: You know what...forget it.
I kinda forgot one important thing that I never had to worry about when playing through the game for the first time...badges. >_>
Hm, well I'm sure all of the gyms leaders will be a higher level, I guess we'll just have to find out ourselves. I'm happy they added the grinding cave or whatever, that's been a long time coming.
I'm not sure where did you guys get that you can play the game again after beating the champion, but I can't find info on that.
As far as I know, after beating the game you unlock the new difficulty settings, but I don't think there has been any indication that you can "replay the game without losing your pokemon".
Serebii even mentions that you lose assit/challange mode if you restart the game!
