Digimon is such a shameless rip-off of Pokémon I'm still amazed Nintendo didn't do anything about it.
...except Digimon came first and has nothing in common with Pokemon except for the fact that they both primarily feature monsters, which several shows had already done long before either franchise came out. Yes, they both have Mon on the end of their titles. It stands for something. That doesn't mean it's a rip-off.
Both of them are cheezy and lame, yet somehow incredibly catchy.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
I'm a huge fan of Digimon, and Pokemon, but I gotta say Digimon was a little bit better though. Idk why, it just is. Plus, that one game on the Playstation was one of my favorite games ever.

Pokemon started with Red and Green in February 27, 1996. Digimon started with a virtual pet on June 26, 1997

Yeah, that's at least a few months earlier. Either way, some Digimon look extremely familiar when compared to Pokémon. There is one that resembles Charmander. The difference is that Pokémon are much cuter and less ugly.
