Pokemon B/W2 have probably my most loved Gym Leaders since gen 2!


Specifically these two. Cheren's awesome too.

Anyone realize that Cheren went from having a power-house team from the end of Black / White to being reduced to a Lilipup and a Patrat?

He still has his old pokemon.

I like to think that Gym Leaders are given certain types of Pokemon to corrolate with the levels the challenger is at.

Gen 2 had the most memorable gym leaders for me. I can name all of them with just a wee bit of thought. Can't do that for any other gen.

gen 5 in my opinion had the best gym leaders they all were there to help you they went with the story real good i loved it

Always was a fan of the first Gen Gym Leaders myself. I mean, how could you not love Lt. Sarge, Brock or Giovanni? You can't, so don't even try to think of how you could. But I do like a lot of others, like Morty and Clair for 2nd gen. 3rd gen was kinda ok if you ask me, but 4th gen and 5th gen had good ones. I like those first three dudes in Unova a lot, too.

My favorite Gym Leader is Brock from Gen I. Not the anime or Gen 2 Brock or even Gen 4. Just first Gen. Why? If you knew nothing about Pokemon, like most of us did back in 98', Having a team composed of Weedle, Nidoran, Charmander, and Spearow would mean nothing. Even if you had respectably strong pokemon by then, if you didn't know what Bide meant you we're toast.

Gen 1 Gym leaders we're the best, the Fire Red and Leaf Green came along and kicked me right in the childhood by nerfing them and giving you better attacks and Pokemon like Mankey and Nidoran with Double Kick, making Brock look like a breeze...

Cinnabar Island's Blaine was boss as well, and had a cool gimmick with the gym's puzzles. Blaine takes second place for sure as my favorite gym leaders.

Wattson! He was my favorite gym leader! His gym design was perfect for that part of the game, and he is extremely effervescent!
