So a few weeks ago I ordered something from Play Asia. They gave me a tracking number, but it only covered up to my package leaving Hong Kong. It said it was shipped out the 16th of March and I have yet to receive it. Does it take this long for something to be shipped to California from Hong Kong? Has anyone experienced this kinda thing from Play Asia. I am starting to wonder if I should cancel my order and get my money back, but before I do I just want to see if this is normal.

Well, I live in the Mexican side of California, I once had a packaged shipped from Hong Kong and it took about a whole month to arrive. Maybe more than that, I can't remember.
The thing is I had already forgotten about it by the time I got it.
@TheLastLugia: It was a PS4 controller. @Octane: Hmm maybe I will wait a bit before cancelling it then but I will see what others say before deciding. BTW are you a mod now here? I see the star by your name. If so congrats.

@Meowpheel: Mexican side of California??? What side would that be the whole freakin state is full of Mexicans. Btw hope that doesn't sound wrong but I wasn't trying to be rude or anything.

@Tasuki: Trying to contact them won't hurt anyone either, it's worth a try! Not sure if their customer service is any good, but you can always try. I think they can help you out more than any of us can.
@Meowpheel: Ah ok your talking about Baja California gotcha. Over here in the states we just call it Mexico. Generally if you say California you're talking about the state in the US.

@Tasuki
I haven't ordered from Play-Asia, but i have bought stuff from Japan from like eBay and stuff. Granted, i'm on the east coast so it would obviously take a little bit longer to make its way across the US, but frequently they've taken up to a month or more to arrive after being shipped out. Typically has to do with slowdown in clearing customs and such, or issues with shipping port availability and other such international trade nonsense.
@the_shpydar: Ok, so I guess I am just getting a bit impatient. I honestly didn't think it would take this long. I guess I will wait the month out then see.

@Tatsuki Regular Play-asia importer here. My packages usually take from 2 days (wiiu system...it was shipped fedex due to the price) to three weeks when it is a one off game. I do tend to order in bulk so my average is two weeks. However I've ordered from japan directly and had items take between two weeks to a month. Play Asia has very responsive if somewhat machine languaged support. I'd hold off a little longer if I were you. I'm in NC by the way.

I've bought a handful of games from them before, it's almost always taken a full business week. If I order it on Monday the things will arrive on Monday or Tuesday the next week. Even when they say it'll be there Friday of the same week, it never comes Friday lol. I've only ever bought things that are in stock, never something they have to seek out for me that may take longer.
Also we're importing them both to California, so it roughly would take us the same time to receive things.
Well, it's been nearly 2 months now and I never received my order so today I called my credit card company to file a fraudulent claim. So I should get my money back here in a few days. It's a shame too cause I really wanted that controller too. Oh well I will never do business with Play Asia again and will warn anyone who is thinking about ordering something from them.

Nice to know, sorry about what happened, though.
I was thinking of buying XC physical there before they released it in the US eshop, I'm so happy I didn't buy it at the end!
@Luna_110 Yeah I was kinda hesitant to order from them cause I read alot of mixed reviews about them, but I really wanted that controller so I took a gamble and lost. At least I will be getting my money back.
