I know but still I don't care for the fairy tale setting unlessed used in the style of Shrek movies where they make fun of them.
I completely disagree with that. Not to say that parodies and comedies are bad, but I always prefer a good fanasty. With Pixar's track record of great films, I'm excited that they are finally taking a shot at fanasty. It would be intresting to see how they do it. Fairy tales don't have to be kiddy you know.
I never said it was going to be Kiddy, judging from the 5 character designs I've seen you can tell it isn't going to be either although there will more then likley have humor in it as well because it is Pixar. I just think Fairy Tales should be avoided by Pixar because Pixar is more original than that. They usually think of original senarios. Not saying that a Bow wielding princess isn't original, it just isn't say A family of Super heros, a rat controlling a human to make fancy french dishes, or an old man using balloons to fly his house to South America.

Erm...Pixar, definitely, but they seem to be going into a sequel craze. Toy Story 3 had a terrible ending, IMO (my Mom thought of a much better one where Andy keeps the toys and gives them to his kids), and it really should have ended at 2. The 3rd one's ending is also contradictory of the first 2 movies and even the theme song. What was the point of the first 2 if Andy ends up losing them in the end anyway? (Plus, the poster DID say no toy gets left behind, where in the movie EVERY toy gets left behind.) It wasn't directed by John Lasseter, so I can say the last one never happened, because the original creator never intended it (although he IS doing Cars 2, on the other hand, and it has a funny-sounding plot, so it might be decent. Maybe like Night at the Museum 2. It's fun and doesn't ruin the first one's ending, but doesn't really add much).
@WAM2 I disagree. He wasn't really "losing them." The whole point is that Andy's grown up. But he still felt attatched to the toys, but at the same time he knew he couldn't care for them the way that girl (don't remember her name) could. Was Toy Story 3 entirely necessary? No, probably not. But it was a fantastic movie, and, IMO, did NOT ruin the first two.

The ending to Toy Story 3 is emotionally resonant and fitting. The toys live to make kids happy. If Andy is in college, they can't do that. Sure, they could wait in storage for years and years, and maybe Andy has kids of his own someday that can play with them. But that would be ridiculous, and sad, quite frankly. The ending to Toy Story 3 is beautiful is because it doesn't talk down to kids or try to coddle the audience. It's realistic. Kids grow up, and they're not going to keep their toys forever. Yet the experience of giving away your favorite childhood toy is very much an emotional one--and that resonates with the audience. But Pixar makes us happy with it, because we know the toys are going to live to make yet another child happy again. chill with the 'right' and 'wrong', please; it's his opinion -- TBD
