I personaly feel determining the stages of kids by school age rather than vague number indicators like 13+ is much clearer, and is more acurate to when puberty actually starts which is roughly 12 years old for most kids. So what are your opinions?
I don't see your collage diploma or something like that, so how about not talk about the matter you know nothing about?
I won't go into much detail, because you won't get it anyway why it's actually 13 and not other age. You actually showed your ignorance on that matter by that post
How about you share your knowledge to explain why he's so ignorant? I have a Bachelor's in Molecular & Microbiology, surely I should be able to comprehend.
I for one don't find the taste of reindeer piss very enticing.
Speak for yourself!
I know neither of you are American, so neither of you probably experience the true horrors of things like Bud Light (bubbling piss in a can), Smirnoff Ice (like a unicorn shat in a bottle and then they mixed it with sugar and ghastly flavorings) or any of the other disgusting drinks that are so popular with high schoolers. Either it's super sugary and makes you feel sick, or it just tastes horrid and people use it for the sole purpose of getting drunk cheap.
Honestly, when judging when teenage years begin, the whole "You have to be 13 and up" mentality is very outdated. Especially since for the most part, 12-14 year olds aren't fully teens yet, and the way the media sometimes defines tween as 8-12 years old, what kids that age probably haven't even started middle school yet (which is the main reason why tween is nothing but a fancy marketing gimmick these days in terms of media). Here's how it should be IMO.

@Dave24 Instead of just telling him he is wrong try to actually explain why in a coherent manner so he doesn't make the same mistake again.
Does it matter?
You are all posting in a video games site, and video games are for children, you bunch of over grown manchilds.
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
yup, everybody will start talking about their neo armstrong cyclone jet armstrong cannon and discuss the erecting of their dispensers........
oh they will chat about balls of gold too...
I think he's quite well aware that ages 13-19 end with 'teen'. As is anyone with a 2nd grade education.
Perhaps he does, yet he still tried argue that 12-14 year olds aren't fully teens yet, when 14 year olds are, in fact, teenagers. He also said that this: "the 'you have to be 13 and up to be a teen' mentality is outdated," which makes no sense to me, as that mentality is the very definition of the word teenager.
I'll say it again; there's no room for a debate when determining the teenage years, which is what the OP is trying to do.
Agreed. Just because stupid 16 year olds come to mind when someone says teenager, doesn't mean you change the definition. If you want to talk about when stages of youth begin and how they should be labbeled with something that isn't a definiton, then that's fine. But the definition of teenager, is its definition. No changing that.
I know you'll probably tear me to bits, but is it bad that I hate teenagers even though I'm 17/18? I actually have literally no friends because I hate teenagers.
I actually have literally no friends because I hate teenagers.
Or maybe because you decide to hate people based on their age before you've even met them?
Right, I worded it wrong, my apologies. I don't hate teenagers, I just hate teens at my school. From what I've eavesdropped over the course of my HS, I hate the teens at my school.
So to summarize, teenagers are children who believe they are adults.
Whoa, wait timeout. Why can't I hate tens as well? Is that suppose to be an "adult" thing?
EDIT: My apologies for sounding like a troll, but I'm very curious as to this mindset.
Groaning about younger people is a people thing. 8 year olds complain about how "childish" 6 year olds are. 30 year olds complain about 20 year olds. Seniors complain about everyone with a gallbladder.
