I will say Spongebob, if only because the show has gone for 9 years after it should have ended. The pre-movie seasons are great though. Can't beat Band Geeks or Choclate with nuts
The Walking Dead. I watch and enjoy this show, but it usually leaves me saying "meh" or "really?" or "Why just why?". All because of the amount of stupidity that took place, particularly in Season 2 & 3. The recent episodes have been good, but I'll see internet comments and people on my facebook feed raving about them.. "OMMMG SOOOO CRAZY. GOOOD STUFF!!" If you talk bad about the show some fans will become quite ravenous, lol.
I hate the word "Overrated".
It makes people who love the "overrated" series sound like they should have a problem for liking it.
Plus, no TV show was built for everyone's needs. Some people want some Downton Abby, some people want Big Bang Theory, some people want Survivor. It suits only certain people's needs. And because you aren't wanting that show doesn't mean the mass population is wrong to like it.
Adventure Time for example, is for a niche audience outside of the general Cartoon Network fanbase.

Well I think the basic question is 'What TV shows do you personally think are overrated by other people?'.
It's all subjective in the end - basically another way to ask which TV shows you think aren't as great as people made them out to be. I love watching the Walking Dead, but I know many other people think its just alright. I liked Breaking Bad, but didn't think it was anywhere close to the 'best thing on television' as I heard so many people say. I also utterly hate The Big Bang Theory, but many people watch that.
Why did I think this was just about cartoons? Big Bang Theory is overrated, but it's the only non-cartoon I've watched in years that I have any strong opinion about, so that's something.
I'll have to agree with you on that one. I don't like the series, but I don't hate people who like it. That'd be wrong. Also, I kinda think Dragon Ball Z is kind of overrated. I've never really liked it to be honest.
I don't care for much stuff on TV anymore, the walking dead seemed to been really stupid recently (at episode 3 of season 4), I don't care for sports, most reality shows suck, most cartoons out today suck but MLP is alright in my opinion, I just watch anime/trailer park boys/old cartoons (10 years old or more) and a few others
Spongebob Squarepants
Walking Dead
True Blood
Any of those singing type shows like American Idol
Sopranos
South Park
Simpsons (although I enjoyed the earlier seasons up to season 5)
Adventure Time
I am sure there are others but that's all I can think of now.

SpongeBob is now overrated? I though it lost it's fan base a long time ago!
The Walking Dead, honestly it doesn't do anything different between episodes, or enough to be interesting anyway.
Adventure Time is not overrated in my opinion, just not everyone's cup of tea.
Two and Half Men, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Spongebob's last 5 seasons.. they've all had their run, enough is enough. They are pretty overrated in my opinion. I feel with them, people think since they are comedies that have been on for years, they should laugh, and force themselves to, not from true enjoyment.
