@eripmav: Can you tell us from a devs point what´s the problem putting up demos and patched versions of games onto the wii shop channel.

I'm glad to hear that you decided to stick around eripmav! We are a pretty lovable bunch and I'm sure that you didn't want to leave us, right?

Hoo ray. Good to see you stickin' around. Just don't suck anyone's blood and you'll be fine.

It's always really nice to see a developer pop up to talk about his/her game in the appropriate threads, but I admit it's awesome when a developer chimes in on unrelated games and subjects. (Luc hangs out a lot, or at least he used to, and it's a thrill seeing that Commander Video icon popping up in the darnedest places...)

So yeah, welcome to the community.

To put it simply, you can't do it. Nintendo doesn't support patching etc sadly as of yet but I daresay it'll evolve to do so eventually.

We have all (most of us) seen games getting updated, not patched on client wii, you had to redownload, overwrite your old game. I´m talking about the downloadable games, wiiware and vc.
Is it... No you can´t, or is it... Yes you could but it would cost ya.
Also... Would it be possible to have a demo at a cost and if you like the game you get a discount downloading the full version?

That's not for me to comment on though really. I'd love to see something like that implemented, I for one hammer the hell out of my PS3 and 360 for demos...even more so now that my son's on his summer holidays:)

I get the feeling Nintendo tells its developers, "No, you can't," meaning that any exceptions we've seen have come from Nintendo's end, and until a dev hears otherwise, it's out of the question.

That's the way it's seemed to me.
