Anyway what ticks me off the most is how non-gamers are going to react to this. They might say stuff like "SEE! GAMES CAUSE VIOLENCE! " Also the gun laws need to be fixed in America. They always say "We'll fix it!" and stuff like this, and other mass shootings occur. Make the laws like Germany.

They won't react. It's not the 90s anymore. The videogame business is too big of an industry nowdays to be questioned. It makes the economy going and keeps the army healthy and prosperous . The biggest thing that is going to happen will be republicans saying that if all the kids at the pokemon tournament had their own gun, these two cretins wouldn't even have attempted going there with a rifle.

so these two got caught because they showed a photo of their arsenal on Facebook?! Is this for real?! These two idiots are a waste of space and should be imprisoned exclusively for being so stupid.

When you people get upset and say "now they are going to start saying video games cause violence again!", I hope you realize that the "they" is the media, and that they are the only ones who will get worked up about this. Normal people don't care. Just don't listen to their BS and it will all blow over.

What did their Facebook announcements said, anyway?

@Morpheel
I'm not sure,

but actually somebody said they posted it in a facebook group revolving around gun discussion particularly. I recall elsewhere stating that the group was filled with macho arrogant stereotypes that tried to look cool by posting terrorist threats joking around. Whether or not this would've been a real terrorist attack, people need to use their brains and learn these sort of things are not jokes.. they're in fact real threats and not worth sugar coating and risking the lives of others.

The actual possession of guns however makes this a bit more likely to have not been a joke.. either they were THAT stupid to post their plans, or they were simply storing their weapons in their vehicle. Regardless, we found too criminals with illegal ownership of firearms.

Honestly.. I question why we even supply these types of guns to people. Yeah yeah yeah, american firearm rights.. but who in the world needs a rifle and shotgun? At least a pistol is a bit more manageable.. but we didn't need access to this big of a variety.

Anyway, I hope this news isn't the first thing my mother sees when she turns her computer on, I really am not in the mood to hear her anti-gun and gaming preaching..

@NintendoFan64:
Yeah. You should read about when Dungeons and Dragons was big and new, people were convinced that playing it would cause you to become a satanist and start practising human sacrifice and a dozen other things, despite no evidence supporting their claims.

"Meanwhile, in Canada, handguns (and other various concealed weapons) are prohibited or restricted. And overall, we're quite strict."

Hahaha really? Tell that to the Jamaicans in Toronto!

Yeah, I don't think the proliferation of killing implements as convenient as guns is guns is wise either. However, I think this is better suited to the news or serious discussion forum. Pokemon isn't even really out on Wii U.

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.
