Topic: OH MY GAWD ARE YOU SERIOUS?! (video editing issues)

Ok, for quite some time I've been using Movie Maker...it's ok...limited, but ok. But then I felt like my videos needed a little more entertaining edits to them. (Movie Maker sometimes glitches out and gives problems anyways) So I went on a hunt for a better editor, which is where things get super frustrating...

I found VideoPad, it was FREE....you know, no money...AWESOME! Made a video with it, it was laggy but the video still turned out just fine!...A few days later..."Free Trial is up, go buy it.".....WHAT?! There was no mention of a free trial! Went to look for others, kept getting "requires full version", "free trial", "blah blah blah"....I'M NOT MADE OF MONEY, PEOPLE!...I got like...$30 total right now. Besides I'm not paying $300 or whatever when the thing isn't even perfect in the first place. (so much lag/bugs)

Anyways, this is irritating, and with that said....anybody know any ACTUALLY FREE video editing software out there? All the ones I've found are either VERY limited, or too simple...and I really don't want to go back to Movie Maker after trying out VideoPad. And like I said, I'm not paying for that when it became extremely laggy after a while to the point where I couldn't do anything else with it...

Sell Sanya, buy yourself a real video editor.

I've heard a lot of YouTubers use Adobe Premiere Pro for their editing, although I'm pretty sure it's a paid subscription service. Maybe you can download a free trial of it to see if it's worth forking over some money for it, or at least get some use out of the free trial for a few videos.

Quality requires investment.

But yeah, very low on money, and all the free trials I've used always had some issues that made me not want to buy.

Didn't you know? Loot boxes too. But if you pre-order it, you may get some extra features.

Anyways if paying is really the only option....then...I guess that's another on my to-buy list. T.T

@Joeynator3000 the subscription service might help out a bit if you're low on money. Maybe only buy the service for one month (which would probably be around $15-$20), then power edit for that month and slowly release those videos over the course of 6 months or so. At that point with how amazing your edited YouTube videos are, you should be a YouTube millionaire and afford any kind of editor you want.

Even with my last Yoshi's Island video (which had a lot of effort put in with editing), it's still a ghost town. lol

Well, I have Wondershare Filmora and it's easy to use and quite complete, at least to my needs. It's also free to download so... there's that. Ot maybe I stole it or something, I don't know, I don't remember. I just know that all my stuff in the computer has been free for me.

I also have Cyberlink Power Director 10... Honestly, I don't know the differences, but I think I use the other because it's more simple.

Cyberlink Power Director for mobile is pretty great,the full version only costs 3 or 4 dollars. I tried several free or cheap ones on my laptop and they were all crap. For the price it costs and what it can do Power Director for mobile is hard to beat.

My phone is crap, though. lol

I'm already going for Elgato, because my current capture device is old...(and only records 30fps, lol)

@sanya_exe Blender is free and has a video editor.
It's complicated to use at first but it has a lot of options for a free program. I think there's tutorials online too if that's something useful?

But other than that I would suggest Avidemux but I'm not sure if that has enough features for your needs.
Maybe saving for a paid editor might be worth it after all...

I may just go with Adobe at some point...but like I said I'm limited with money. So...yeah.

@sanya_exe Kimyonaakuma already beat me to it, but Blender is a fantastic video editor. It's a modeling software, but can do most things a legit video suite can do. The major problems are the learning curve and lack of visual effects.

Yeah, I want my videos to have fancy/silly visual effects...lol
