I remember having a gray cart version of the game without the fire temple chant (maybe? Can't really remember), but with Ganondorf spitting red blood.
And the awesome original Gerudo emblem.
Hmmm....the removal of fire temple chant, the change in Ganon's blood, and the change in the Gerudo emblem were all done in v1.2. You must have an earlier version, and you just don't remember the chant.

...Speaking of chanting, I started playing Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (PSP game) not too long ago....the Jungle's battle theme has chanting in it. >.>
How awesome is this! Fairy Ocarina and in the well!
In other news, watch this space for a Dead Hand. :3
I wonder how the game reacts if you try to use the Lens of Truth with no magic meter. My logical side says that the game just treats it as if you have an empty magic meter.
EDIT: You can also post the screenshot to Miiverse and then copy it here. It looks a lot clearer.
SECOND EDIT: Actually, I don't think you're required to have a magic meter until you get to the Shadow Temple. So that kinda disregards my post, doesn't it?

Quite frankly, the only part of the Fire Temple theme I actively remember is the part that sounds like a woman singing like Whaaaaa ao ah ao whoa whoa.

That's it. In edited versions, it seems more muffled and less distinct. If you can hear a human voice, then you have the unedited version.

Also - @brewsky, it doesn't actually allow you to use it. It just does that 'no magic meter' sound.
I knew it. How disappointing. I wanted armageddon and anarchy.

That's the odd part, I clearly remember the red blood, but the only version of the FT theme I remember is the one with electronic voices.
It could really be that I simply replaced the song in my mind with the newer version after playing the game on the game cube though.
@Moorpheel It's the opposite for me. It seems odd to be playing it on the 3DS when I'm used to the original version. And the mirror shield is nowhere near as pretty.
But I wish the actual mirror shield was blue, like the sprite you see when you first get it. Not the silver that it actually is.

Ooh I love the original mirror shield, it was very pretty with the star and moon, specially the "da da da daaaah" preview shield Link holds up when he obtains it, it's just so shiny.
