@MERG Ha, ha Butthole Surfers, have one of the greatest names in rocks. I don't know much about them at all, but I can hear a bit of a Dead Kennedys type of sound in this track. The drums are driving this one like a runaway train. Nice one.

*** Edit Spooky, you posted a Dead Kennedys song, just as I was talking about them in reference to the Butthole Surfers song. You're hitting some of the roots of American punk with the above two songs, mate. I know @The_Fox will be up for a bit of a TV Party ****

I am passionate about retro gaming, from antiquated consoles to the continuation of classics. Obviously I love PSone, and PS2 retro games. I blast my ears to breakneck melodic punk, gruff vocals and nimble alternative guitar hooks.

@JamieO...the Butthoel Surfers are another band I'm happy I can say that I saw. Although...they are disturbing live. Well, they are disturbing on CD too.

All the bands mention on here rock! You all should check out the first "Decline of Western Civilization" documentary movie for some other oldschool west coast punk bands, like the Germs, Bags and X. Btw, has anyone ever heard of this band?:

I am getting an education from this thread, lots of bands I might have heard the names of, but which I have never heard their songs. I hope that I don't sound like a know-nothing dweeb, but @spicoli 's two choices remind me of Bleach era Nirvana.
Below is another from my side of the pond, Sunderland's finest punkers Leatherface with Andy taken from the BYO split with Hot Water Music. This one is later on from 1999.
"...and his drink was Guinness I think...Andy's walk amused us all...he was mystifying.

@Merg
Awesome choice on Black Flag there! I posted it in the other music thread the other day, but you can never have too much T.V Party.

@Everyone else
Some great choices here. Some of these songs I haven't head in years.

"The government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion."

Time to add some more:

Who hasn't wanted some Astro Zombies at some point? (Please note this is the Misfits. NOT the MCR cover)

Going way back for this one:

How about something a little more alternative?
I've always been a fan of Soundgarden, and this is probably their most aggresive song:

"The government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion."

Stiff Little Fingers is a superb choice, here is Dropkick Murphys Get Up with the opening lines:
I went North to see the Stiff Little Fingers play, The kids in the Belfast were tearing it up, Jake is the punkest dude I do declare, He got a leather jacket, and the spikey hair. "We All Fall Down." So Get Up Now.

**** Edit @The_Fox Oh yeah, The Misfits is yet another great choice. A pop punk band from Seattle called Sicko covered Astro Zombies, too. ****

My favorite song by them is Queen Babylon, but this one is great too (before anyone asks about the KKK symbol use, it's meant to be ironic, their complete discography cd has an image of the members dressed in Klan robes getting hanged for example).

Scared of the future, but bored with the past.

Goldfinger. Good.

Some good song choices so far, some I have heard others I haven't. By the way the lead singer of Sugar looks like and sounds a little like Billy Bragg.

Here's Iggy and the Stooges with a classic -
