Both Black Gym and Heart Gold Kanto moves on with a 4-1 Score!

The Final round of the set folks and it's both a Johto gym and a Kanto Gym. Lets see who moves on to Set 2!
I can't believe how Red hasn't got any votes. I'm generally not a huge fan of the Black 2 remixes, so I go for that, and the HeartGold version of Johto.
My own battle theme has now got percussion, which I think gives it a lot more texture and depth. I feared I may have trodden a bit too far into smashy rock drums territory, but I've toned it down since inception and I think it's now reasonably well balanced.
Johto Black advances with a 3-2 mark and Kanto Black pretty got no love what so ever. So HeartGold moves on with a washout. Thus ends Set 1! Set 2 will begin shortly!
Oh no! We've got to the part where I like all the entries and feel bad about leaving behind whichever don't I vote for...
I do like the Ruby/OR gym, but I REALLY like both Diamond and Fire Red so they're where my votes go. Fire Red's is just iconic and brilliant, and I really like how intense and... 'Pokemon-ey' Diamond's feels, while still carving out it's own unique sound.
@Blue_Blur: Thank you! Thank you for even listening! Do you have any pointers, preferences, or things you wish it had more (or less) of? I'm thinking of changing the rock drum kit into something tighter and more electronic to match the rest of the track, as it's quite smashy and full of cymbal crashes at the moment.I'm also thinking of including some extra instrumentation to 'garnish' it at certain points, as I've noticed a lot of Pokemon tracks often have quite a few 'trills' in the background that echo or respond to the main melody. At the moment, it's just got 3 musical 'instruments' (lead, bass, chords), and the drums, which are all working pretty much relenlessly throughout the entire track. Maybe it could do with a brooding middle section as well, where the lead takes a bit of a break... but that would be a fair bit more work.
@Maxz: Honestly, I like your song better than the Ruby and Fire Red's Gyms! My favorite part that I found really catchy was the repetitive beat at :13-:34. The intro is really catchy, too! About a different section in the middle, I don't think it's necessary, since like you said it would be a lot of work; but if you are considering adding one, I suggest doing it sometime after :44, before the catchy beat repeats. As of now though, right after :44, it smoothly returns back to the main beat, so it still sounds fine. Towards the end I noticed the sounds got more high-pitched, and that's different enough from the rest of the song to make it not sound repetitive. All suggestions aside though, the song still sounds amazing as is!
Another tough call but I'll go with Diamond Gym Theme and FireRed Gym Theme. Ruby has a more serious tone to it, but I think FireRed is a bit more ambitious with the instrumentation and has a lot of energy which I like, so I pick that.
Well this is an easy round, for me at least. I vote Heart Gold for both.
I like some bits of the Black theme, but other parts grate with me slightly, and I really like the HG version of Kanto. As for the other vote, I prefer the 'originals' to nearly all the Black 2 covers, so Heart Gold again there.
