Topic: Nintendo should consider acquiring an Android/iOS Developer

Before you light your torches and get your pitchforks, hear me out.

I don't think there is any doubt that the mobile games market has become huge in recent years. While I don't want Nintendo to start putting their games on mobile (they just wouldn't work with that model), I can't help but think from a business perspective, it's important for Nintendo to get a piece of the pie.

If they acquired someone like Halfbrick or Rovio, they wouldn't have to pour additional resources into their own mobile division, instead just profiting off of a subsidiary.

They already did buy a company that had something to do with mobile. (And that as far as I know we haven't heard anything from since).

Ehhhhhhh.
From a business stand point, what you say is logical.
But this is Nintendo we're talking about here.
They're pretty much infamous for doing things their own way, both for better and for worse.

Just some random loser who loves a variety of things.

It's logical, but I think the core nintendo audience will reject the idea of it.

That and I hate Apple more than EA and Ubisoft combined.

I don't think the core audience would be all that affected though. It would be a subsidiary that operates mostly independently.

Considering a mobile developer's audience is on Mobile devices, I doubt that'll happen unless Nintendo starts putting their games on mobile devices.

Also, I'm seriously struggling to think of a Mobile developer I'd want working with Nintendo...even Half-Brick is a laughable choice...

They're Japanese, and everything I've played of theirs has been really fair (even their F2P stuff). You seriously must try out Salvo Saga HD in particular, it's good stuff.
