Before you light your torches and get your pitchforks, hear me out.
I don't think there is any doubt that the mobile games market has become huge in recent years. While I don't want Nintendo to start putting their games on mobile (they just wouldn't work with that model), I can't help but think from a business perspective, it's important for Nintendo to get a piece of the pie.
If they acquired someone like Halfbrick or Rovio, they wouldn't have to pour additional resources into their own mobile division, instead just profiting off of a subsidiary.

Ehhhhhhh.
From a business stand point, what you say is logical.
But this is Nintendo we're talking about here.
They're pretty much infamous for doing things their own way, both for better and for worse.
They're Japanese, and everything I've played of theirs has been really fair (even their F2P stuff). You seriously must try out Salvo Saga HD in particular, it's good stuff.

Switch - Blade Strangers
