Speaking of Match of the Day, there's a few players I've got my eye on, but I'll try and hold off for a couple more days before panicking. A couple of new features have been added this year which I didn't know about.

-If you don't make a transfer one week, you can carry it over to the next, but it expires after that. So in short, if you don't need to make a transfer, you'll have the option of making two free transfers the following week. I need to read more about that though.
-Last year, if your captain didn't play, you were screwed. As you've probably noticed, this year the armband will be handed on, to either the player in form or your most expensive, depending on which one you specify
