Honestly Microsoft is the only one so far to have handled Brazil properly. This isn't a big shock to me that Nintendo pulled out.

This might mean cheaper consoles as I hear Brazilians have to pay ridiculous prices for game systems. They can import. And trust me, at one point, certain retailers will still bring in some consoles... expensive consoles, at that.

God first.

That sucks, but the prices that Brazilians have to pay are insane. The fastest way to break me from playing video games would be for me to move to Brazil. ...I would like to visit though.

Yet there government is one of the most corrupt around. Gambling huh. Bribery must not be a problem to them.

%120? That's a lot! No wonder Nintendo quit Brazil. Their government is evil to the roots.

Making promise is easy. The hard part is keeping it.

Maybe not necessarily evil. Perhaps just woefully dumb.

No, evil. Not sure if you followed the world cup recently but they flippin walled off all favelas around the area where the stadiums were built(hastily, shoddily) to keep up a good image. Sent pamplets out telling tourists to stay away from certain areas and not fight back. Forced their citizens in some favelas to clear out using mililtary force. Long story short, not woefully dumb, alarmingly corrupt morally, fiscally, and inhumane. Nintendo can't win against something that rotten to the core. Yes I know not all of them are like that but I wouldn't go to brazil until that gov't is reformed. So not in my lifetime.

Consoles can be sold cheaper there if you manufacturer them inside the country which is what Microsoft has done to avoid insane cost to import into Brazil. Of course building a manufacturing plant in Brazil for that market takes a lot of faith in the potential there and I see why not everyone maybe on board with that.
