Topic: Nintendo could have made this friend code nonsense much easier...

Why couldn't Nintendo implement a "friend request" feature like what every other online gaming service uses? You just enter a person's friend code, and the other person would receive a message like this: "[Name] wants to be your friend!"

It would make the process so much easier, instead of having both people enter each other's friend code.

Nintendo is thinking about the safety of children. Seriously, if anybody could just add anybody, then, what's stopping pervy older men from adding a little kid? (Answer: Parental Controls) Plus, with the whole friend code thing, you're adding people that you actually know, not just random people who want more friends.

That's the main thing I hate about Nintendo's online services. Voice chat I don't care about. I never use it on my PS3.

this illogical idea only "works" when other people are actually whining instead of just being mildly amused yet sad.
