I dunno how I feel about this to be honest. I mean, I'm all for women using their bodies however they'd like, and I'm in no way against sex appeal or even pornography. But this is kinda muddying my view of Bayonetta. Granted, I've yet to play the games so perhaps I'm missing something, but Bayonetta always caught me as more powerful than out right "sexy". Where most "sexy" women depicted in fiction use their sex appeal to deceive and trick their (usually stupid) male adversaries, Bayonetta appeared to just be sexy because she is powerful, and power IS sexy. She doesn't entice her opponents to let their guard down, she just shoots them in the face and throws them into a medieval torture machine while looking fine and on point the whole time. I guess that and posing for Playboy aren't mutually exclusive, and I'm probably looking far too much into this to be honest. Haha, I guess I'm just not used to Nintendo doing stuff like this. Kinda a bummer that they'd promote something like Playboy but won't allow same sex couples to appear in Tomodachi Life. I guess it just shows their heteronormative priorities. But what can you expect from a video game company these days?

If you don't want to debate ethics or morals, don't bring it up.
Sorry, I joined this site thinking I could avoid ignorance like the comment eviLaTtenDant posted. But this IS a gaming site, after all. I dunno what I was expecting haha.

Some of us lean to a more conservative viewpoint. For example some of us right wingers could see your username as offensive to our religion.

I just took it as a joke about Nintendo's reputation for being a childish company, that supporting marriage equality would be reducing their potential audience. I don't think there was any actual commentary intended. Could be wrong though. Tone is hard to detect in text.
But still, it's easier to avoid "ignorant comments" if you don't bait people into it.

Two different situations no, I mean Tomadachi Life would have required more development while this is just a PR stunt. Anywho the photo that can't be displayed here is probably my wallpaper for my tech next week.

First of all, yeah, I kinda jumped the gun there. I wasn't suggesting a direct coloration between Tomodachi Life and Bayonetta. I was just making a point about the video game industry as a whole. I think it's super silly that they'd be willing to put a character in a hyper sexualized situation like Play Boy, but are too afraid to include homosexual relationships in a game that is all about relationships! But this isn't about Tomodachi Life, and I wish people would've read the bulk of my comment rather than just the last few sentences. But whatever.
To answer eviLaTtenDant's question about homosexual relationships making it harder to produce children (which he has deleted for some reason)
1- Not every relationship needs to be about procreation.
2- Homosexual couples can adopt (and God knows there are PLENTY of children in need of adoption) or use artificial insemination. Yes, these two methods make it a bit more difficult to have children than through heterosexual intercourse, but I would argue that to do so would mean that the couple is usually very financially stable and sometimes even more emotionally ready to take on the challenge of raising a child. I mean, how many gay couples are stuck with a teen pregnancy or an "accident" compared to heterosexual couples? Do the math haha.
I don't know if eviLaTtenDant was being facetious or just simply ignorant to the topic, but either way I jumped the gun a bit and for that I apologize.

I really REALLY don't care if you find my username to be offensive. I'm not degrading or humiliating or dehumanizing anyone. If anything, my name emulates Jesus' title in a slightly satirical way. As someone whose studied the Bible all throughout school and into adulthood, I think Jesus would care much less about my username and more about how people who tend to subscribe to "conservative viewpoints" treat their fellow humans. But that's nether here nor there.
Okay, I've said what I had to say and I've made my peace. I'm ready to talk about video games again haha. Sorry for derailing the conversation- wasn't my intention.
absolutely nothing.
whenever theres some kind of "controversial thread" going on here, people that no one knows, pop out of the woodwork and bring drama with them.

And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

Or start another thread whose title ends with "????????"
Yay for ethics and religiouse debates because thats the reason I go to this site for Well any ways I think that Bayonet is not very attractive but whatever more promotion for Nintendo games is always good. Also this reminds me of the conker ads on Playboy magazines before so this ain't the first time Nintendo was involve with Playboy.
