Gotta say this, Nolan's casting when it comes to the men in the films has been great but his casting of terrible actresses for important female roles will continue if this is true. Fox is gorgeous but her acting makes me cry...although, I'm sure this is like everything else, a false rumor.

Catwoman would be pointless in Nolan's Batman films anyway, including the Penguin. Christopher Nolan has gone for a more serious approach, which many people are happy with.

Megan Fox's acting is not that great. I hope this future Batman film is as good as The Dark Knight.

You do know that Catwoman is the least insane and straight forward character in the Batman universe? She's a simple thief...it doesn't get any more serious/normal than that. Catwoman would fit in perfectly and much like Two Face was just called Dent (because he was just Dent), I'd see Nolan's Catwoman never being called Catwoman but by the name of whatever Catwoman he wants to go with...probably Selina Kyle if he does go with Megan Fox.

I gotta ask the obvious, have ever even read the comics?

I agree with SuperSonic, their really gonna have to something spectacular to surpass that film. I hope the Joker is still in the film too, it's a shame Two-Face died so early aswell.

And @ J Bittles, you just said it there. Shes a thief, how can you go from the last two villains to a thief? The flim would be toned down.

And some I have yes, Joker's first crime was stealing the Claridge diamond, which is also my last name =0.

As a criminal, yes, she's just a simple thief but her character and her relationship with Batman especially goes WAY deeper than that and works perfectly in Nolan's world where relationships and the dicotomy of personalities is what's most important. Plus, we already know Batman will be viewed as a criminal in 3 and what better character to have than Catwoman who is a criminal but is always portrayed to have a love/hate relationship to the point that hey have worked together relationship with Batman?

Anyways, I'm hoping that they put the Joker story to bed and move on to having Mr. Zsasz who would work perfect in the Nolan world. On top of that, having Catwoman would be the draw and allow them to have a great, but little known villian such as Mr. Zsasz as the main villian.

While I disagree with you on Catwoman, I agree with you on Zsasz. A serial killer would fit the next film perfectly.

Sticking with what we agree on, I think Mr. Zsasz would add an insane amount of attention to the direction it's going. I mean, Police resources hunting Batman while a serial killer who's just running rampant in Gothem, and the Bat has tons of issues doing anything because of the police pressure...such possibilities. Also, knowing what I know about Mr. Zsasz and his motivations, him believing he's freeing people when he murders them, seems like the natural progression from Joker in regards to murderous motivations.

Hopefully Joker would get a little cameo though, maybe similar to Silence of the Lambs, Batman uses a killer, to catch another killer. Out of curiosity, what other villains do you think would fit Nolan's new direction.

I don't know anything about this Fox (what films should I have seen her in? Guess I should hit IMDB and find out), but I wouldn't say that all his female casting has been bad. I wasn't fond of Katie Holmes, but Maggie Gyllenhall is quite a talented actress if you ask me (Secretary?).

Well, honestly, Megan Fox would be my second or even first guess at this, so...Hey anyone remember when David Bowie was supposed to The Joker in Tim Burton's Batman, but then Nicholson got it instead, lol

Who Are You?

OldBoy

Megan Fox in a catsuit??!! Yes please. Who cares what her acting's like when she looks that good.

What's this bit for again?

this would be referencing Megan Fox of Transformers and Two and a Half Men fame.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all about Megan Fox in a catsuit but asking her to act is like asking someone to pull the moon down with a lasso. Also, I'll back track a little on the casting of Rachel Dawes and maybe it's just that the character was so terrible and no amount of great acting could have saved that character.

Locke, to wrap up the Joker storyline, I wouldn't mind your proposition at all. Man, what a story that would be, forcing the Bat's hand in working with the Joker...that would be a crazy, borderline illogical, but yet great story to tell.

As for other villians, I really, really want to see Nolan's vision for The Riddler...but not Johnny Depp playing him...I think Depp would just play him as Willy Wonka. If we keep the Joker, we know he's in Arkham, so I would like to see what's done with Harley Quinn. Other than that, the other characters that immediately come to mind and would work in this world would be Black Mask, Hugo Strange, and The Mad Hatter(although his character tip toes pretty close to Scarecrow IMO).

Am I the only one who thinks Megan Fox is a bit meh. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't kick her out of bed, especially if a leather cat-suit was involved. But enough with the Megan Fox, she is everywhere!

And what's the news source here? The Sun?!?! Britain's self-proclaimed 'cheapest paper'. Uhoh.

Who would play Joker? I don't think anybody could do this role justice like Heath Ledger did so i think it's best they move on and leave Joker out of the next film

MoogleMuffins

J Bitties, I'm glad you agree. The only problem with that would be, Batman isn't exactly going to find police help to let him talk to the Joker, unless he goes as Bruce Wayne. But wouldn't everyone wonder why Bruce would be trying to find the serial killer?

I'm sure they would find somebody. The Joker's too good a character to not even make a small appearance, Scarecrow did a fun cameo in the opening of the Dark Knight. It would be a shame never to use The Joker character again because people think that no one could do it justice, because of Ledger's performance, Fantastic as it was, I prefer Jack Nicholson's.

In regard to the way Locke would use him, I think you can find an actor that can be up to snuff with the role. I thought Nolan's biggest issue was using Cillian Murphy as Scarecrow rather than saving him for a better villain...so the actors are out there. Plus, it's all prosthetics anyways so you could get the look. Also, morons said Ledger couldn't replace Nicholson and he did, why couldn't someone else? Lets be honest...Ledger as a 'great' actor all stems from him looking away from the camera for two hours in Brokeback and 15 mins. in Monsters Ball before his great turn as The Joker His death only enhanced the notion that he was a great actor.

Objection

Fox is a meh actress. Keep her away from Batman 3. I think that since "serial killers" were mentioned, the Puppetmaster (or whatever, he's called, it's been a while,) would do nicely.

I also prefer Nicholsons Joker but Ledger did not replace him as Nolan's Batman is a remake, if they used a different actor in the sequel to The Dark Knight I don't think it would be right (my opinion ofcourse), if they do find a actor who would be good enough to replace Ledger then why not just use him for another villain, there are plenty to choose from.

Oh I see your point now, I thought you meant for future films too. Well maybe that would be the right thing to do. But only Joker could be used in that similer story of Silence of the Lambs J Bitties and I talked about.
