Topic: New Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon in production

From the image, I thought the one in the middle is a new character instead of what viewers think as Knuckles. Could it possibly be Knuckles hat because he did wear one in the movie.

Also Sonic's hair is slightly different than before while the rest look like usual. I wonder what they mean by CG animated because TMNT CG looks horrible with uninteresting designs.

I don't get why Sonic X gets so much hate when Sonic Underground and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog existed. :/

I never watched (well enough) of sonic underground so I can't give an opinion on that _{though i actually liked Adventures of sonic the hedgehog with it's googy antics sinc well ummm.... i'm kinda a kid at heart.}

Though I have watched practically all of sonic x and it's basically 2 words....... Chris Thorndike..

Sonic underground was sonic origin story and i loved that show

I think because the "popular series about non-humans goes to the real world/has a new human lead" story is one of the most hated and almost never works.

Or maybe because it's 4kids and no one bothered to check the original version.

Eh, I always thought those stories were neat, at least from a conceptual level. Fish-out-of-water and all that.

But yeah, 4Kids...

He's certainly growing on me now. XD

remembers all the bitter memories of trying to give Sonic X chances UGHHHH.... remembers Chris in the show UGH.... remembers Tails in the show UGHHHHHHH!!!!! LOL. I tried watching that show over and over...and it kept disappointing me in every episode. Here's my test of approval of cartoon shows... If I can sit and watch a cartoon show while eating breakfast food in happiness then I like the show. Lol I tried that with Sonic X and I couldn't bear it. Everytime I think of Chris, I literally cringe and wince. I even tried watching the "last" season of Sonic X when Sonic went to outer space because some weird dude was causing problems. I'll never forget how 4Kids tried to advertise the last season of the show... They tried their best to make the last season sound so serious and dark. They showed Tails and Chris screaming their classic lines: "Sonic! Please help us!", they showed Sonic turn Super Saiyan... Oh wait... I mean SUPER SONIC coughs loudly and, heck, 4Kids even showed Eggman looking SCARED... So when I saw all that in the trailer for the first time, I was like: "I really don't like this show but maybe things are turning around... I'll give it one more shot and lets see what happens."
I tried it. I watched it. I laughed at it.

Seriously though... I just wish Sega would team up with the guys who made The Incredibles and Pixar movies and try to make a proper Sonic movie/show.

Mmmmmaybe this can be okay. I'll give it a shot. From the teaser image, the environment already looks better than most CG cartoons I've seen, and Sonic is already been CG'd in his games... so just maybe. Maybe it'll be possible to watch. I just don't get what they've done to Knuckles. His name isn't Muscles!

Actually I'd prefer a new Nintendo cartoon over yet another Sonic animated feature, although considering Nintendo's adamant feelings toward shows about their IPs (can't blame them though) beyond Pokemon, I doubt we'll see any TV season length series for the likes of Mario/Zelda or any other related franchise ever again.

Yeah I actually want a show based off on Nintendo games like Mario. I still have the super mario bros super show 3 hour marathon and its still awesome!!!!

Some fans actually wanted to make a metroid movie but they were shut down because of not getting permission i guess.

Doubt it, the VA would probably be someone closer to his current voice, Roger Craig Smith. (that is his voice now, right? too many Sonic voice actors )

If this show is better than X then it'll be the best Sonic show we've had so far imo. Though any hope of that has already been dashed by the sure to be cheap and awkward looking TV grade CGI and the trying-so-hard-to-be-cool silhouettes of Sonic in what looks to be a vest and sunglasses and roided up Knuckles... ugh...

This could be very interesting, I will definitely be giving an episode or two a go
