Looks like it's similar to 3DS tech (but obviously expanded and refined significantly). You basically have a 40 degree window in front of the TV for everyone to sit, which isn't bad. In theory, it would also be compatible with the PS3, since it uses the same processor to create 3D, which is good.
This is the future, I think. Once they come down in price, of course.

I'm skeptical. Not sure if this technology is ready for use as a living room television. As it stands now it looks like it would be great for a computer monitor, but the resolution isn't up to snuff for it and the price is just obscene.

Don't think Sony doesn't have a bunch of these tvs just waiting to ship. Why though when they can make money off of the glasses. This is why I believe Sony wanted Nintendo to stop talking about not having to use glasses cus they knew by next Christmas they would have to start bringing these TVs to the market.
