If this is true, it will be great for the Wii U's sales but this makes me sceptical of it's quality. The last time a 3D Mario platformer came out in the year it was announced, it was Super Mario 3D Land which is a good game but completely unremarkable in every way and nowhere near as good as the other four 3D Mario platforers so I wonder if this will be the same.

I doubt the announcing time had anything to do with the quality.

It probably means that they spent less time on SM3DL than the other four 3D Mario platformers which is why I said that.
