Hi. So I know this is a vague game description. I'd really love to find this game's name.
The video game was somewhat like the board game Risk. In this game, you viewed a map with (hexagon or octagon?) shapes, that represented encounter areas. You controlled jets, helicopters, infantry units, and tanks. You would strategically move each unit around into defensive or offensive positions. I believe you could only move a certain amount of units per turn. When the enemy was in a space next to yours, they would battle. A small video would play to show each unit's actions. I believe there were F-4 Phantom attack jets, Apache gunships, and other 80's associated military units.
