Good thing Satoru Iwata turned down that offer, imagine the outrage that would happen among core gamers if he had approved it. And beside, the last thing they need is more peripheals.
All I know is: Nintendo is smart, and the leader of innovation. If they didn't jump on this, it won't be that great, and they probably already have something up their sleeves that will trumpet the competition. I'll bet they do.

I was very excited when I learned abot Natal. After seeing some demonstrations for it though, and some iffy news reports on whether or not the device can register your movements quickly enough for some of the games, I'm not entirely convinced that it'll be as great as everyone makes it out to be.
If you think New Super Mario Bros. Wii is hard, try Super Mario Bros. 3.

Anyone who has read 'The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' will be aware of the problems of having completely motion-controlled interfaces. But we'll find out whether it was a good call or not after it's released.

You know what's happened don't you? We've come to another one of those blasted doors again...

I'm actually quite glad that Microsoft decided to get it. Imagine all the Microsoft fanboys, who bragged about Microsoft not fooling around with kiddy motion controls, when they find out Nintendo turned it down, and Microsoft sprung for it!
Just let it happen.

OFF TOPIC: As i am currently re-reading the Hitchhiker's "Trilogy" (ramping up to read the new "authorized" installment "And One More Thing..." by that other author), this thread made me smile.
Hitchhiker's <3 I'm reading 'So Long, And Thanks for All the Fish'.

Pretty happy about this actually. I honestly don't wanna pay for another peripheral/console upgrade. Remember; personal opinion.

So Long is quite different. I liked it, but the first two are without a doubt the best, and it generally goes downhill from there. I think I'd place So Long third in quality out of the five (haven't read the new one written by whats-his-name, if that even counts).
