I don't know if anyone here would be interested, but I'm currently working on a fangame based on Zelda 2. It won't be as big of a game as Zelda 2. It will be kind of a short game, so it won't take as long to complete. I just started working on it a few days ago, but I think progress is coming along well. I would really like to do a full fledged game sort of like the gameboy castlevania games mixed with Zelda 2 style, but I'm going to keep this simple. I think it will improve the chances of it being completed.

You should take a crack at making your own sprites, so you can distribute your game legally afterwards

Do a parody like "legend of princess", you could have a lot of fun with it.

I think for this project I'll stick with the Zelda 2 graphics. I'd like to make money off my games, but I'm not doing this game for the money. I'm doing it because I've always wanted to make a Zelda fangame and it's a dream and I can fulfill. After I complete this project, I will work on something original.

I've done a lot of work with sprites, by the way. But I still don't think I'm very good at it. Here are some projects I've worked on using original graphics made by me:

Well, it's quite a ways from finished, but it will probably be about as challenging, yes.

Got some more progress done. Added some more enemies, added locked doors and implemented the "handy glove."

Now I really want to play Zelda II. Your progress is coming along great. It looks to be challenging which is good news.

I always hope for a remake of Zelda II, but done in a street of rage style.

Although I have thought about making a Zelda game like that, but I'm just not very good with graphics. I figured it would make it more like the 3D Zelda games.
