Really? So it's not a nationwide thing? That's odd coming from Verizon. Well, some states have different cable providers like Time Warner, Cox (which is also an internet provider), etc. And here in Arizona we have a cell phone company called Cricket, while the eastern states have Metro PCS. So I guess not every company has to be nationwide.

My point is irrelevant now.

We don't have Verizon service here where I live so that's probably why I've never heard of it. And I forgot about U-verse but I see it every time I pay my phone bill, just wasn't that interested.

Ok back on topic. This thread got derailed too quickly.

Anyone else have freezing problems with the PS3?

they're pretty close to being the same system. Only difference is sony has more first party output thats bomba.

And when I'm playing Skyrim, a friend is playing Saints Row 3, and another friend is playing Dead Island, we can still all be in a party chat debriefing from the days craziness.

My roommates first PS3 did, but it got the YLOD a few weeks after the problem started. He hasn't had the problem with his new one.

Guess I gotta send it in to Sony, or just trade it in for a 360. I heard that whole Red Ring of Death debacle is long gone with the Slim models.

It's about time. Are Microsoft's engineers that inept that it took them 3 years to figure out how to solve an overheating problem?

The system was released 5 months after it was released and was the 2nd foray into Hardware by a software focused company. I'm sorry they couldn't learn anything.

They got the first Xbox right with no major problems. The fact is that the Xbox 360 was rushed and Microsoft took their time fixing it. And Microsoft should know PC hardware, they make the operating system that's used on 90% of the world's PC's!

That doesn't mean they know hardware, All they have to do is write the Base drivers for hardware support. Optimization is something Windows isn't known for. (that's a whole nother can of worms on the PC side)
