@Rocko52 - Be sure to pick a character that isn't already controlled by someone. The original list can be found here, but there are a few changes, such as @Lunapplebloom (was @Applejacklove) taking control of Luna now. I don't know the other changes, nor do I know if some of those listed are playing any more, so those may be up for grabs.

Discord appears beside Luna, wrapping one arm around her neck and pressing her up against Pinkie Pie, who is pressed up against him still clinging on. "Oh come now Luna. I only do that to the ones I like that give the best reactions." Discord squeezed Luna with his arm a couple of times before letting go. "Besides, I'm still within the limit of the agreement. I just have to let loose a little chaos now and then to keep in control, you understand. I'm a creature of habit, so thank you for being the Guinea pig for a little bit." He patted Luna on the head. "It was a very nice gesture on your part......and speaking of nice gestures....", Discord snapped his fingers, and the darkness of Luna's chambers fades as it was lit up and filled with streamers hanging from the ceiling. Party hats appeared on top of Luna and Twilight's heads, with 3 on top of his own. "...let's all celebrate this momentous occasion with a little party." He took one hat of his own and strapped it onto Pinkie Pie's head, and when waved his arm out to conjure up an enormous cake in the middle of the room. "There's nothing that says I can't be generous with my powers, especially with a celebratory cake covered in layers upon layers of sugar-saturated frosting........and tutti-frutti filling."

First of all, keep in mind that this RP started before the episodes "Keep Calm and Flutter On" and "Magical Mystery Cure" aired, and as such these episodes have not "happened" in our RP universe. Also, @everypony, if I missed/screwed up a detail, please feel free to correct me. This is all coming from memory. EDIT: Made a few tweaks. Thanks Aqueous! EDIT THE SEQUEL: Made a few more. Our story starts when Pinkie Pie is doing her nightly job of eating all the leftover goods from the end of the day to make room for fresh goods in the morning, when she comes across this new tart. She becomes addicted at first bite, and when all the tarts were finished, she set hoof on a quest to find tarts as yummy as the ones she craves. Also Applejack ran off somewhere and Spike is Celestia knows where.
Meanwhile (and this is where the real story starts), Princess Celestia has announced that she is resigning from her post as leader of Equestria to secretly go to Las Pegasus and open up a Casino to strike it rich. The chaos and disorder this causes allows Discord to break free from his stone imprisonment again. After Discord causes some havoc on Canterlot, Celestia decides that she, Luna, and Discord shall play a video game to decide on whether Discord can stay free or be imprisoned again. So they go into Luna's room and Luna pops in Ponykart Wii. Just when the race was about to start, Discord freezed the television (by zapping it) to establish bets. It was decided that if the Princesses win, Discord can be free, but not be able to cause chaos; but if Discord wins, the Princess have to give up their royal alicorn powers for a month. Shaking on the deal, Discord zaps the TV again to unfreeze it, but as he does so a stray lightning bolt from his magic went out Luna's window towards a train Pinkie was on to Canterlot in her quest to find tarts, and hits her head hanging out of the window, sending her into the game. Discord almost wins the race, but as he neared the finish line Pinkie jumped out of the TV and attack-hugged Discord, causing him to lose control, which let the Princess pass her up and win. After that, Celestia sneaks off to catch the train to Las Pegasus. Discord, freaking out from Pinkie's hug, magically dresses Luna into a nurses outfit and sets him in front of her as if he was her patient, which is when Twilight walked into the room, having known something was wrong after the gravity flipped for a few seconds during Discord's initial attack on Canterlot. Twilight's stunned, Luna takes off the Nurse costume, and that is when Discord throws the party.
(I never realized how crazy the RP was until I wrote that. )

3. You must READ and REGARD every post. 4. After posting, you must wait for another person to post before you post again. In other words, no double posting.

"Party? Cake?" As soon as the cake poofed in, Pinkie stared at it in awe, her jaw dropping lower with every word Discord used to describe it. In one swift motion, Pinkie leapt off of Discord and landed in the cake square on the top center, sinking in to the fluffy cake. Now practically in the cake, she took in huge bites of delicious, cakey goodness as she worked her way through the sugary wonderland.

@ToastyYogurt - Good job. Spike is who knows where though, Applejack is running off somewhere. Also Discord turned night into day. It was night when you were on the train, only there way light due to Discord bringing out the sun.

Alright then. For the rest of today (12 hours) I won't be on, but could I have Lyra or Doctor Whooves?

@Rocko52: It is currently in Luna's bedroom in Canterlot Castle. Also, Celestia is at the train, and Applejack and Spike are still Celestia knows where. But (and don't get me wrong when I say this, I don't know for sure if this was your intention when asking where the action was. If it wasn't to cut in the middle of it just ignore this bit) just because most of the action is in one place doesn't mean you should rush in to the middle of there. It's better to have your own thing going on, and then have things maybe naturally flow Lyra into the main action, like maybe the action goes out of the castle and into the streets where you are. Then would be a good time to get into the main storyline. Or you can stick with being outside of the main storyline and doing your own thing with others outside of the main storyline (like Spike for instance). We have had more than one thing going on here before, with two or more groups. Heck, doing an RP by oneself isn't a bad thing! Derpy player @MasterGraveHeart once did a great one-man-RP. Not saying you should be alone or anything, the more the merrier. It just annoys some people when one guy just cuts into the middle of the action without just cause. TL;DR To get into a storyline you must have a reasonable way to get in, not a way that screams "OMG ACTION! I'M COMING MAMA!"
Sorry if that rant was too much/insulting/insinuating. I do that by accident sometimes.

Twilight blinks at the quick shift in conversation, before shaking the surprised look from her face and quickly turning away from Discord and a Pinkie Pie practically swimming in cake. Looking at Luna, Twilight spoke as if in a daze. "Los Pegasus again? I thought she already tried that?" Twilight's face scrunched up in concentration. “I can’t seem to recall the rest of that night.” Twilight sighs. “Well let’s leave these two to their party and cake. We best go catch her and you’d think 1000 years in power would teach a pony responsibility.” Twilight starts moving towards the door.

"It was so odd of Celestia to resign as princess," Lyra said to Bonbon as she trotted down Ponyville's main street.
