Get Smart- boring Howard the Duck- stupid Swiss Family Robinson- boring Street Fighter- I painfully forced myself through 50 minutes before I quit Speed Racer- On Demand glitch, then it expired before I could finish it. It was boring, though; thank god it was free. Speed Racer (animated)- an over-extended episode of the original series Robocop- after 30 minutes of the F-word, I quit The Corpse Bride- it's like the Nightmare Before Christmas, but without the Christmas
Never been able to get into any of the James Bond films. Ever. And think I've only watched like 1 and a half of the Star Wars films. That '1' being Phantom Menace, and then only because I thought it'd be rude to leave the cinema to find something more interesting to do (I was with friends). The half being Episode 4 which I couldn't be bothered watching after an hour.
And also what Victoria said. I normally like Carrey films too, but Grinch was painful
I cannot remember leaving a film in the cinema, but wife and I did switch off The English Patient, partially because the tape was glitching (events like this helped make selling the idea of buying a 2nd gen DVD player incredibly easy even though they were going for US$500 at the time) and partially because we really didn't care.
I did want to walk out on "Drop Dead Fred" and Peter Berg's big screen directorial debut "Very Bad Things" but I was with a group of friends on each occasion. The first film was just insultingly stupid and the second one actually offended me.
Pride and Prejudice - I've never actually seen the whole thing in one sitting. I think I've probably seen the entire thing by now, though. Oh, and I paused Jurassic park halfway through so I could read a summary and know what to expect. I hate suspense stories. [though, I did quite enjoy the movie. Steven Spielberg did a great job]
It'd be easier for me to tell you the movies I did finish...
Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
Funny the talk about Jim Carrey here because a month ago I was watching the Undersea IMAX film and wanted to walk out during the first 2 minutes. I knew I was going to hate it yet I suffered through it. It was narrated by Jim Carrey and while I use to like him and can deal with him in the odd movie he just doesn't have the voice for voice over work. It was full of really cheesy jokes too.
As for movies I didn't finish, first is Napoleon Dynamite. What a piece of trash. The acting was just so poor I couldn't even get past that. The others are Crank & Shoot Em' Up. Both completely lacking in taste. I'm sure if I were 14 I might have liked all three of these movies.
