Topic: Most memorable Zelda Moment

Hey there, I was thinking...Zelda has a lot of really memorable moments. Personally my favorite moment of any Zelda game would have to be in Skyward Sword, when Link is reunited with Zelda. What's your favorite Zelda moment?

Probably when Zant ambushed Midna at Lanayru Spring and the forcibly transformed Wolf Link had to carry her to Zelda on foot (paw) for healing. There are few villain scenes that creepy where the stakes are that high in Zelda.

When you finally see Midna's true form at the end of Twilight Princess. Such a fantastic moment.

The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

The moment when you realize that the salesman in Link's Awakening thinks stealing should be punished with death, even if it's a child... He should teach his awesome magic by the way.

What makes this more memorable/funny is that it's all a dream.

This is a hard topic for me, so I'll bend the rules a little. I'll just briefly list my favorite moment(s) from each Zelda game I've played. Spoilers abound, obviously.

The Legend of Zelda: Getting the starting sword (It's dangerous to go alone!)
Zelda II: ...I suppose THAT romantic moment behind the closing curtain at the end, just before the credits roll?
A Link to the Past: Entering the Dark World for the first time.
Link's Awakening: A toss-up between unlocking the Wind Fish's egg and leading the chain chomp (Bowwow?) around.
Ocarina of Time: ...This one is hard. I can't decide between getting the Master Sword, meeting Bongo-Bongo, Link running away from Darunia, Ganondorf's mean organ skills, and the final confrontation with Ganon....
Oracle of Ages: This may seem trivial to some, but I would say that Ralph's bravery at trying to free Ambi from Veran is the most memorable. He was willing to forfeit his own existence to stop Veran. A good runner-up would be the Maku Tree flirting with Link. XD
Oracle of Seasons: Your "date" with Rosa. Also, in a linked game, I find Ambi and the Captain's reunion quite touching.
Four Swords: ...I guess facing Vaati?
Minish Cap: Fighting Vaati. It's interesting to watch him become more and more like the monster he really is. A really enjoyable fight, all things considered. A runner-up would be Ezlo's reaction to riding mine carts in Crenel Mines.
Twilight Princess: A many-way tie between Lanayru's story of the interlopers, Zant nearly killing Midna (Midna's Lament), Midna's true form, changing into a wolf for the first time, and the fight with Zant.
Phantom Hourglass: Linebeck's face before he becomes Bellumbeck.
Spirit Tracks: The tower disassembling, Zelda freaking out over a rodent despite possessing a hulking phantom, and Byrne's sacrifice.
Skyward Sword: Link finally finding Zelda, Groose coming to the surface and freaking out (lol), Impa's death.
A Link Between Worlds: Yuga becoming Yuga-Ganon, Ravio's reveal, Lorule being restored.

I'm likely forgetting a few good moments, but those currently stick out in my mind.

Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)

Link's Awakening narrator quote:
You got Marin. Isn't this your greatest chance?

More seriously my favourite moment it the end in LA. Very well made.
Another is the first time I played Majora's Mask I somehow failed to take back the Ocarina and the moon... you know what happened. This is a personal opinion but as far as newer games are conserned I find it hard to "like" them. They just seem bland and not that memorable to me for some reason.

I think that anything that I played when I was younger is very memorable and will have a special place in my heart. However with the recent release of Breath of the Wild and at the age of 19 I found it very heart warming and exciting when I started playing Breath of the Wild. The entire feeling of being on a complete new adventure that everyone else was experiencing for the first time was a great memory for me. What really topped this off was in the first few hours of playing coming into Kakariko village with the awesome music and visuals and it felt like something so new and exciting for me which I haven’t felt that way in years. @OmegaRuby

Nice thread!
I must admit that I started many Zelda games (most actually), but never finished one. I love the series, but somehow I feel put under pressure by the dungeons mere existence. I have to force myself to play on and usually I stop playing when I am right in front of a dungeon. Love the design, characters and exploration though. So Breath of the Wild might actually be the first Zelda I finished.
Second would be Ocarina of Time 3D. I played up to the Goron-Dungeon (as adult Link).
I didn't have a console when the original released, but I had a friend playing it at the time. There was a little comic magazine they handed out for advertisement telling the story of the boy without a fairy.
I was fascinated by this comic, its artwork and story. So playing the game for the first time (and the remake is so beautiful!) had some sort of magical feeling to it.

Moments in Ocarina of Time that were most memorable for me (so far):
1. Exiting the citadel of time the first time as an adult (cold shivers down my spine! though the game is old, I didn't know there was a zombie-apocalypse happening).
2. The forest temple. Especially the strange and scary music. And Phantom Ganondorf as a Boss. I was pretty shocked by him appearing thinking he was Ganondorf himself.
3. The scene where you leave Kokiri Forest and Salia gives you your first Ocarina.
Link sure does have a lot of love interests in that game....Salia, Zelda, Ruto, Marin, ...?
4. Kokiri Forest and the Lost Woods in general. They have a certain kind of magic to them (also: the music).
5. I love Jabu-Jabus belly as a setting for a dungeon. It's so original especially for the time. Though I hated Ruto, of course. Stupid teenager.

Breath of the Wild:
1. Miphas brother. Though I think Breath of the Wild lacks a lot of the character other Zeldas have, since the world is so big the characters don't play that much of a role (also because they mostly look alike), I loved that guy and how he first appeared. He is so over the top and the music!
2. The first Blood Moon! Though more of an annoyance in the later game it took me by suprise the first time and got me pretty scared. Especially since I was on my first horse close to enemies and the horse got scared and wasn't controllable.
3. When Link gets his Gerudo-outfit. I love that kind of humor in the Zelda series.
4. Riding the sandseals and seeing Molduga rising out of nowhere.

Link between Worlds:
1. Finding the Maimai-cave and upgrading equipment there (the song!)
2. Turning into a painting the first time. I loved this feature a lot.
3. Yuga and especially his musical theme.

Too many moments come to mind when you ask me this question! I've played almost every Zelda game except for the Oracle games and Spirit Tracks (I still plan on playing these games someday) So there's plenty I can think of.

The Legend of Zelda:
The very first moment when the old man gives you a sword with the famous line: It's dangerous to go alone!

Link's Awakening:
Untitled

I also love this moment, even before Marin said the shop owner fell alseep I was trying to steal from the shop. I tried really hard to steal from shops in Breath of the Wild but that game is just no fun My most memorable moment is still the awakening though.

Ocarina of Time:
Ganondorf stealing my girl Zelda. I was genuinely frustrated when Ganondorf looked down on me and knocked me away with a spell. After that it just gets way worse when you try to save her by pulling the Master Sword.

Majora's Mask
The eleventh hour had a lot of emotions tied with it. I was also quite sad when they showed skull kid forsaken by the four giants.

Wind Waker
The moment when the king of Hyrule sends Link and Zelda to the surface. He's left behind with his fallen kingdom to be forgetten but he trusts his daughter and Link to begin a new era. This gets to me.

Minish Cap
The moment when you become small and enter the Minish Village for the first time.

Twilight Princess
The moment when wolf Link carries injured Midna on his back and that wonderful piano music starts playing.

Skyward Sword
Untitled
The first time Link ascends to the sealed grounds, a marvelous moment, then suddenly Groose.

Breath of the Wild
Not sure, it's possibly too soon to tell.

Hands down my most memorable moment is stepping into hyrule field for the first time in OOT. At the time, I had seen nothing on that sort of scale before in 3D. Blew my tiny mind.

But the diversity on display in this list just goes to show how great the series is at delivering those moments.

I dunno if it's the most memorable, but it sure is funny

when Link gets cannonballed into the Forsaken Fortress.

Also the fight with Ganondorf.

That photo is why I haven't, in a sense, 100%ed Link's Awakening; my 3DS VC restore point is set up in such a way that I can access it at any time and claim that title though. I always found it sort of lame that the game changes your name to THIEF.

Bwahaha! I loosely referenced this moment in my previous post, but I forgot how priceless Link's expression is at that point in time. XD

I loved the moment in links awakening when i safed marin with the grapple hook. The moment when link gets the sword and swings and kills this spikey thing. Getting the bra. Getting yoshi. Flying with the chicken. Pretty much every moment with the windfish ballad. The moon fish dance. Walking up the stairway to heaven. Too many great moments. Its my first zelda and the most personal one. Also the german version is the best for obvious reasons^^
