For me, It was a twice a month thing I had going for me a couple of years ago.
Every two weeks (when I got my paycheck), I would go to our local mall with some family or friends, stop in Gamestop to pick up a new DS game (really got into portable gaming at the time, as my job prevented me from spending too much time with the home console, and DS games were less expensive), stroll around the mall a bit, and finally stop by Tokyo-San (a Japanese restaurant in the food court) & get something to eat (usually sushi).
I found this to be a really relaxing experience, and did it twice a month for a long time, but Tokyo-San & Gamestop closed down quite some time ago, so it's nothing but good memories now.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Every time a major Nintendo game comes out and I go to pick it up opening day. The people at the game store really know their Nintendo games and we just chat it up talking about the next big games! I even get them in street pass on my 3DS afterwards!
