Topic: Most Annoying Video Game Helper

In my opinion it would have to be Navi. HEY! LISTEN!

Every Legend of Zelda helper except Tatl.

I don't know why this is even a question. Of course it's Navi. Of course, a lot of people hated Tricky from Star Fox Adventures, but I thought he was kinda cool, in a sort of "annoying little kid" kind of way

Yes she was. She was awfully boring, one-dimensional, and useless (not entirely her character's fault or her role in the plot, it's just that the developers made the wolf gameplay so bad). Having to put up with a boring character from the start is the most annoying things in games. Compared with the King of Red Lions, Tatl, and the animal helpers in the Oracle games, Midna just failed. Compared to Issun from Okami, she's downright terrible to have as a companion.

I was waiting for the standard Twilight Princess bashing/Okami reference from you...

I just wanted to feed Tricky from Starfox Adventures to that T-Rex in that temple SO MUCH!

Definitely slippy from star fox 64. Navi at least gave you helpful tips sometimes. He (she?) just got himself/itself shot at all the time.

Navi was annoying, Slippy can't seem to shut up about needing help and Ciela from Phantom Hourglass was okay to me.

Also, I don't think Midna was that bad, though the uselessness factor rolled in when you didn't know what the hell you were doing.

Sure, Navi gave you helpful tips, but they weren't very hepful once she said them 38 times!

Midna. Navi. Both should be taken outside and shot for robbing games of much of the fun of finding things out for yourself.

I dunno... with Navi you at least had the option of ignoring her most of the time.

As for most annoying, Kaepora Gaebora (The owl from OOT) and Chip (from Sonic Unleashed) come to mind.

but i liked Mallow. A LOT

I personally think Navi doesn't deserve the level of hate, i mean sure her voice does get to you from time to time but she still helpfull on advise. Anyway for me Slippy takes this award he's useless in every way.

As annoying as Navi was, my vote goes to Tricky. Every 30 seconds, "Fox, i'm hungry", "Fox, where are we going?".
Just..shut...up!
