Woah, I avoided the media all day long (except Wii), turn on the telly and bam! Newsflash (my imagination starts racing when that happens, doesn't yours?)!
I'm not surprised to see jokes you always get them when a celebrity dies, I find it really distasteful! Everyday I feel the death of others (war, hunger, illness, murder), and it makes me grateful for my comparatively simple life. I'm a cold motherf***** but at least I have some empathy!!!
I'm looking at you Chicken! Btw is that a picture of Bozon.

Despite his issues, he was still the king of pop and made some totally iconic music. He shall be missed by many.

I had literally most of today listening to my MJ music, and was going to make Man In the Mirror my new facebook status before I heard this. This is very sad. I will always remember him as one of the greatest musicians ever, if not the greatest. This is regardless of his personal life and issues. The man is a father, a brother, son and friend, and he will be missed.
@ChickenBrutus: I like some of your posts, but in my opinion that was absolutely too soon, in bad taste, and uncalled for.
Ladies and Gentlemen of NintendoLife, please remember Michael Jackson

Hey, enough of the Chicken Brutus bashing. That comment was made before anything "offical" was announced. MJ was such a weirdo anyways, jokes were gonna be made. I loved the guys music too, hes a true legend, but he was a complete nutter!!!

I still love you, Chicken.

Yeah, I mean, in fairness, the joke was posted before the death was official.
So in a sense I guess it was "too soon," but not in the sense that you mean it.
Also: death does not absolve you of the crappy things you've done to other people--especially children--in your life. Fact.

Man this really sucks. I'm just shocked! I was a pretty big fan of his music but I didn't like to admit it. His personality was a bit freaky that's for sure. People were so cruel to him and unfairly judged him all the time. He didn't deserve the hell he was put through. At least now he is free. I wonder how long fans will be insisting he faked his death like when Elvis died. I still know some idiots who can't accept Elvis is dead. It's pretty cut and dried about Michael though. R.I.P. you poor tortured soul.

R.I.P Michael. It's hard to believe he's gone, He was a larger than life figure and too see him die so young, it's tragic. I hope his kids are alright through this.

Agreed! But... why would you WANT to type something like that when you know it's only gonna offend, u r either too thick to realize it, or just don't care. Neither I'm fond of.

I heard he was rushed to the hospital for food poisoning, which makes sense, as he had recently eaten some 12 year old nuts.
Wow. Normally I'd laugh at that if it wasn't so soon. That's sick, dude.
What really got me was how he died so suddenly. Even though they got him to the hospital in 4 minutes, they still couldn't save him. RIP Prince of Pop. You will be missed. It's just too bad that he couldn't have left this earth with a cleaner slate.

Fact: Not proven guilty, first case had investigation closed due to lack of evidence, second case he was acquitted of all charges.
Fact: In my belief, the death penalty should be reserved for those who endanger the defenseless, "the defenseless" includes (especially) children. No one is above that, no matter what. So had guilt been confirmed, i would not be as soft on him and strong against people who insinuate things contrary to the court of law that tried him.
Opinion: I would not make a joke on the subject of someone's death, confirmed or not, unless they were absolutely one of the most terrible people of all time. I guess we should agree to disagree on our tastes.
56. Posted: Fri 26th Jun 2009 00:52 BST
Wow, not only is that crass but I'm afraid just about every stand up comic in the world is going to have to sue you now for stealing their joke.

I don't see why I'd have to assume that everyone will get offended if I make a Michael Jackson joke...BEFORE it was announced that he died.
Would you get offended if I joked about James Joyce's failing eyesight? Would you get offended if I joked that Ringo was a lousy drummer?
No, you wouldn't. Why would I assume, then, that I'm going to break your wittle heart for a Michael Jackson joke? Which, again, I must reiterate, was posted BEFORE it was announced that he died?
