Progressive rock music is awesome. That's right, I'm talking about Rush, Yes, Dream Theater, Symphony X, Pink Floyd, and King Crimson.

They're a disgrace to the source material, at least the first two. i haven't seen the 3rd. I hate both shia lebouf and megan fox with a hot 'n saucy passion. It would of been pretty neat to see Del Toro take on transformers instead of 'the master of explosions' Michael Bogus Bay. I'd prefer more of an emphasis on the transformers(like in the G1 cartoon series & beast wars, where they had a lot of personality and you really got to know them.) rather than putting the main focus on humans....sigh*

Instead make way for one dimensional Autobot/decepticons with minor dialogue and confusing fight scenes that end up looking like a Robot orgy of flying limbs. I'd prefer a more anime-esque take on it as well, instead of americaized city exploding 'Robots are blowing up the f****ng city' crap.

They're fine. I mean yeah, there may be an abundance of over the top action & explosions, with not much story or emotional substance to go around, but they're movies about freakin' giant transforming robots, so I don't know what you expect.

I didn't really grow up with the Transformers toys or cartoons (born in that middle spot between the classic era and the reboot) so I enjoyed the films as silly, explosion-y fun. When watching a movie with friends, I'd rather not to pick the perfect film but instead something you can laugh along and at. Michael Bay movies tend to fit that bill nicely.

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

They are horrible, even for summer blockbuster popcorn flicks.

But the first two had Megan Fox.

So i'm torn. :D

She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong. Also, Lindsey Stirling. Because violin awesomeness.

Forget Megan Fox, she looks like an android, a hot one, but i prefer my women to look a little more natural, ala the early 80's. Anyways, i say pass on these terrible BayFormer movies and go watch BeastWars if you're itching for something semi-new where there's an actual emphasis on the autobot/depticons themselves rather than the stupid humans and their shiny cars. In these movies they're so one dimensional, they're practically void of any personality....it's just a set up, a giant excuse for michael bay to blow more sh** up. ;) Go watch the cartoons, these movies are dumber than a bag of Xbox's.

I'm more on Mike's(the AVGN's buddy) side. The bay transformers movies are a slap to the face for anybody who grew up watching the G1 series, even beastwars. Bay injected his own casual/mainstream approach and made it independence day with robots. It doesn't even feel like transformers....Get rid of the humans, stick it on a different planet and make it about the autobots & decepticons instead of using them as tools to make pretty explosions.
