You just know you are being ripped off when you have to pay for something that is already in the game data, which is the case with MM9 and MM10.

FALSE. The DLC data is NOT written on the game itself. There's a reason why DLC takes up a certain number of blocks once it's downloaded.

Bass was already in Megaman 10.
This video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzmhMLF7BT4 proves it since Bass mode hasn't been out yet when it was posted. The guy who made the video just hacked the save file to gain access to Bass anyway. Read the comments if you want further proof.
According to them some of the extra levels were not on the game file. The thing with Bass is still a big rip off.
I think if game developers want to publish DLC they should always make it free, no matter if it is already in the game data or not.

This.

The question is, when? Capcom is taking their sweet time with Mega Man 5 and it's totaly pissing me off
MM6, MM7 and MMX will be instant buys for me as well......And maybeeee MM8 if it's released through WiiWare, but then again...

The one I'm waiting for most is 7, because I can play 5, 6, and X whenever I want. It's unlikely that they will release MM8 in any form. If they did, I'd probably want them to add things to it, instead of just releasing it how it is. I'd actually like to see a version of Mega Man: Powered Up instead. I don't have a PSP and I'm probably not going to get one just so I can play the 2 Mega Man games on it. They should have released them on something other than the PSP.

As for MM8, I honestly could care less if it's released on the Wii

As for Powered Up, if it were somehow released for the DS I'd definitly get a copy, but seeing as it's one of the few games that interest me on the PSP, I"ll pass. For me, the PSP just isn't worth buying. Anyways, couldn't Capcom just release MM Powered up on the PSN?

I'd get Powered Up on DS too, but I think a better choice would be to release it for 3DS. It is a widescreen game, and the top screen of the 3DS is widescreen. Plus, I don't know how PSP graphics would look on the DS, but if they made it look good enough it would be fine. I still think releasing it for only the PSP was a bad move. Many Mega Man fans at the time probably played the games on Nintendo platforms, so releasing it for a non-Nintendo portable limited who could buy it. I was never interested in the PSP because I was mainly a Nintendo fan, and the only reason I'd get one would be to play Powered Up and Maverick Hunter X. Two games does not make me want to buy an expensive portable to play. They could have easily been console releases or at least downloadable.

There also needs to be a Wiiware port of 8, so your Wii menu wouldn't skip from 7 to 9

Would anybody be interested in Mega Man and Bass(import) for the SNES making it's way to the VC?
Personally, I'd rather experience this on the SNES on the big screen.....BUT, the fact that there's no english dialogue makes this a no go for me

Get a Gameboy Advance to Gamecube link cable and play it that way. They're like 10 bucks.

@WaveBoy I would be very interested in the SNES version of MM&B. The GBA version is very good, but I'd like to play the original SNES game. They had to change the music to make it work on the GBA, and it would be nice to play it with the original tunes. The screen size would also make it a must play for me. As for the dialogue, there are translated ROMs of it online, but I probably shouldn't talk about emulators. I'd rather play it legally, anyway.

Didnt 8 come out on N64 or was it a Playstation exclusive?

It was not released for the N64, only the Playstation and Sega Saturn.

Yep, and the Saturn version puts you up against Cut man and Wood man which is pretty damn awesome

How are those battles anyway? Easy? Difficult? Are they worth having the Saturn version for?

By the way, I just beat Mega Man 4, 5, and 6 again recently, and I enjoyed them as much as I always do. They're all quality titles in the series.

I haven't played 5 and 6 yet. But I heard about some strange bosses. Centaur Man? Really? And what was up with Pharaoh Man in Mega Man 4?

Yep Centaurman was a bit strange what was strange was the weapon you got from him was called Centaur Flash or something like that and all it was was Flashman's time stopper weapon. It made more sense when they had him in Power Fighters and you got an arrow weapon from him. I dont remember anywhere saying in Greek mythology that centaurs freeze time.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but Mega Man 6's bosses were all designed by children in contests sponsored by Nintendo.

Yes, the weapon is called Centaur Flash, but it is more similar in function to the Gravity Hold. It doesn't stop time, but does usually destroy every enemy on screen. The Gravity Hold sent the enemies off the screen, but you get the idea.

I mentioned that earlier, but I still don't know why they are the most hated bunch of Robot Masters.

Oh didnt it kill every enemy on the screen I thought that it just freeze time but its been awhile since I played it. Anyway its still a stupid weapon and the arrow in Power Fighters made more sense.

Yep it was and as I said before, Actually only WIndman and Knightman were fan submissions. The others I believe were Capcom created. Nintendo Power had a contest about a year or so before MM6 came out and asked people to submit ideas for robot masters in the next Megaman game. I must have entered at least 20 ideas lol. Anyway they got the idea from Japan where the Robot masters from Megaman 5 were submitted by Japanese fans.
