Topic: Manga based pokemon game a good idea?

Hi everyone i am posting this to see if people think a pokemon game based on the manga for it. I think it would be a good idea. It would have a completely different story, you could play as more then one character, and it would bring a new image to pokemon that is more teen like then what it already is. What do you think on this though?

Pokémon JRPG? Coluld be interesting.

I'd rather this didn't happen; you know the saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." and Pokemon is doing fine right now.
Mind you, if it did happen I'd give the game a fair chance as I haven't really read the manga before.

As you can see the manga is a lot more violent, the story is a bit darker even though they have those funny moments, they use a few words you won't here in the show. It would give pokemon the image a lot of people want. I think it could sell a lot if the put effort in it. Also this is a spoiler but the red and blue manga all the leaders are evil except borck, misty, erica, and blaine. I believe those were the only good ones. It gives a lot more history to the game though. It also adds 2 more characters blue who looks like the lass trainers and yellow a bug catcher who has a pikcahu that flies. Red's can use surf. Blue's signature pokemon is a jigglypuff and blastoise.

It would be cool to see some pokemon games based off the manga but I would be curious on how it would be done. I think it would be hard to form a story playing as the characters because part of pokemon is choosing your team. That would be gone because you would have the same pokemon as the characters I would assume. Also some of the events would be hard to put into a battle scenario.
I am mainly thinking about the game as if it were like the main seires games. I do hope they take the series in a more mature direction though.

Who even cares about the Manga?

I can't see something like this being a main-series game; they've got a great formula that's worked for well over a decade now. i might be interested in something like this, but only if it's more a straight JRPG-style game instead of something like Ranger, Mystery Dungeon, or Conquest. We've focused mainly on the Pokemon and the collecting and/or team-building aspects of the world for so long, it might be neat to focus on the people for a change. What kind of story would they choose to tell, though?

Pokemon Colosseum was more traditional. Maybe they could do another game like that, but based off the Manga's story?

I played Pokemon Colosseum and XD back when I was into Pokemon but no longer have them. Although, I don't like the main series now, I actually think I might buy Colosseum and XD again at some point. I'm not really into monster catching RPGs but since Pokemon Colosseum and XD are more traditional I might give them another try at some point and I also might be willing to give a game based off the manga a try if it was more traditional.

I see it being styled like that if it would be made. Plus it could be a new side game. Ranger was a new step in the side games but still became popular.
