@StarBuddy: Granted, but they didn't make a Metroid game, as in that reality Kid Icarus became the dominant series. Everybody was impressed with Pit's 16-bit adventure, Super Kid Icarus, followed by Kid Icarus: Alliance on the Game Boy Advance, along with a GBA enhanced-remake of the original game in the form of Kid Icarus: Zero Adventure. The world was awestruck with Pit's foray into 3D with Kid Icarus Supreme and its sequel, Kid Icarus Supreme 2: Ripples. The Nintendo DS was released with a demo of an upcoming title, called Kid Icarus Warriors: First Barrage. After a year of waiting, Kid Icarus Warriors was finally released and featured online play - you could play as Pit and six other heroes as they competed online for the mantle of hero! The Wii saw the revival of Samus Aran as she appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, leading many to think she'd get a Wii title. In the end, Pit got a game instead, Kid Icarus Supreme 3: Invasion. Upon the revelation of the 3DS at E3 this year, the first game revealed was the first Metroid game released since Return of Samus on Game Boy, known as Metroid: Downfall, which seeks to revamp the cult classic franchise. Nintendo also revealed another Pit game for Wii at E3, in the form of Kid Icarus: Other P, which offers classic-style side-scrolling with 3D elements. Now how's that for a corruption?
