So has anyone seen the latest movie? I really don't think it was good at all. Quiet forgettable

To be honest these Young Adult movie adaptations are kind of getting old.

Well Harry Potter, Twilight, and Hunger Games struck gold, so get used to every studio under the sun trying to ram YA adaptations down our throats for the foreseeable future.

Even if for every hit (Divergent), there's 5 flops (The Host, Beautiful Creatures, Ender's Game, Vampire Academy, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones).

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

It twas really corny. I didn't want to listen, it was very eary. I mean, shucks, definitely not a dozen out of 12. But really i haven't seen it but loved the books.

Do you like videogames? If so, you must know

I was hoping the thread was gonna have a picture of what I thought it would. And I wasn't disappointed.

I dunno, it seems like it would be a good....POPCORN MOVIE.

hmm? wasn't there some kind of controversy surronding the Ender's Game movie? anyway weird how a film feauturing Harrison Ford could be a flop

Harrison Ford isn't the draw that he was 20 or 30 years ago though, and I can't recall whether or not the marketing featured him much. I remember it focusing on the child characters and the space battles. Lots of people may not have even known that he was in the movie.

If I remember right, the controversy was surrounding Orson Scott Card, author of the book series, and his insane homophobic rants in the months leading up to the movie premiere.

I guess you could say the movie wasn't aMAZEing!

I thought about watching it, but after I saw this thread, I think I'll wait. My brother bought the book, so I'll read it after he's done.

If you have any amount of patience, books are usually better than the movie.
