Whether you're still holding on to this medium, or even if it's just a nice memory of your past, I'm sure we've all had our favorite magazines (gaming and otherwise), and here we can talk about them.

Here, in alphabetical order, I'll discuss the magazines that I have experienced for at least a decent amount of time:

Disney Adventures - Not only is this the first alphabetically, but it's also the first magazine I ever had a subscription for (that a parent got for me). It had a small, compact form factor, but I remember it being packed with content, with everything from comics to puzzles (crosswords & the like).

Game Informer - I actually picked up my first few issues of this used at a thrift store (one featured Blue Dragon on the cover), and then I later recieved a free year subscription for signing up for GameStop Power Up rewards. I always liked the fan art section, and any extra source of reviews is always welcomed.

Nintendo Power - The magazine I subscribed to for the longest period. I actually picked up my first copy at Wal-Mart (the issue with Dialga on the cover), because while I had heard of the magazine's existance, I had never seen one for myself until then and had assumed it a thing of the past, so I knew I had to get it (last issue they had, too). Soon, I got a full blown subscription with a purchase of Fire Emblem: the Sacred Stones (and it even came with an NP strategy guide for the game!), and it was a part of my life for the next several years. While I let my subscription slide early in 2012, luckily I was able to pick up the final issue at Wal-Mart, finishing my journey with it, the way it began (again, it was the last one they had in stock). No other magazine carried with it the same sense of "fun" that NP did, and it will be sorely missed.

Official Xbox Magazine - While I never had a subscription for it (and TBH, I never read it that much), I picked up the new issue every month for little over a year soley for that sweet, sweet demo disc. I was able to experience bits & pieces of various games such as Bayonetta and Call of Duty 3 thanks to this magazine (this was before we had the 360 connected to the internet).

P------ - I won't write out the name of this one, due to it's NSFW nature, but I'm sure you all know what it is, and it's something I felt I just HAD to subscribe to once I turned 18, lol. I was subscribed to it for one year.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue - I picked up the 2008 issue back in high school, and while I don't get it every year, picking it up has sort have become a tradition of sorts, I suppose.

So, what magazines do you remember?

I can't discuss my favorite magazines, let's just say they're not suitable for this site.

The only major magazine I was subscribed to was Nintendo Official Magazine/Official Nintendo Magazine. It was a pretty good UK version of Nintendo Power, and I was just about gutted when it eventually shut down about a year ago...

Great topic! In order of fondest memory:
PowerSlam (still exists in web form, was a great alternative to web wrestling news sites)
Sega Saturn Magazine (that was awesome right to the end)
Edge (religiously read it in the mid to late 90s during the 32-bit/N64 gen)
Mean Machines (and the Sega/Nintendo spin offs)
CVG
Amiga Format
White Dwarf (when I was a young teenager)
BBC Micro User (that's going back a long way)
Amstrad Computer User (ditto)
Official Dreamcast Magazine
CVG
PC Pro (when it used to be good)
Games Master

Haven't bought any thing in years though, net has long taken over as the source of news.

So, anyone get any cool bonuses with magazines they've bought or subscribed to?

I've already mentioned the demo discs that used to come with OXM, but in addition to that, NP often came with a poster or two (the most notable being one that came with the final issue that had the cover of every NP issue on it, and one had a full size poster for James Cameron's Avatar: the Game, which I gave to my bro who is really into the movie), and I got a strategy guide for Fire Emblem: the Sacred Stones with the subscription itself (which I used on my second playthrough). Also, the magazine that shall not be named came with a free DVD...
