Also Bravely Default. It's been generally very enjoyable but as soon as I'm in a new area and my team that was good starts doing poorly against random encounters I feel like crap. Random battles can also feel overly long, but I'm not a huge fan of turning them off (I'm so glad that's an option though, and I do in fact use it).

This basically sums up my feelings exactly.

Dark Souls or the Souls series in general. I wanna be stealthy and some other stuff, but I'm kinda forced to play one way. The right way, but still a good series.
Metroid Prime 3, It looks good and I want to explore and play it, but you can find and 100% the game because it gives it to you, the characters are great but don't last long and don't have enough lore. The hardest difficulty is all about HyperMode and you're forced to use it every fight, that missiles just become useless even when you have over 50. No really, every weapon doesn't do anything and HyperMode just makes it too easy or just repetitive. Even Rundas goes down in less than 10 seconds with HyperMode. I like some points, like design and exploration and having some actual other characters and other sorts, but I just can't get into as much as the previous prime games.
Megaman - I can't get past the moving tiles and I can't beat Airman.

Currently playing through Dragon Ball Xenoverse. I love it, but I hate it at the same time because it can get really grind-heavy when it comes to masters and getting items you need. Stupid RNG. Also not digging the armour sets.
It's a step in the right direction and I want a sequel that fixes the notable issues.

I generally love Twilight Princess, but absolutely loathe the City in the Sky dungeon. The soundtrack annoys me to the point where I usually have to mute my TV in order to finish it. Plus, the whole dungeon layout and the Oocca in general are just...strange. O_o

The main reason I put up with it is because of the awesome boss fight at the end.

Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

I should only love it and not hate it; it's a sequel to Luigi's Mansion! But, I hate what they did to the game. Professor E. Gadd won't let you explore at all, which I found really annoying. The bosses weren't to fun, in my opinion, and not very creative. (A flight of stairs, really?) I didn't really like the final boss, either. I liked how there were multiple Mansions, but I thought all of the mansions were too short. Just when you begun to remember where everything is in one mansion, you moved on to the next! The soundtrack wasn't to special, I love the original Luigi's Mansion music a lot better. One more point would be that when I play the game, I always ask myself "Why isn't this on the Wii U?" It really should be, if Splatoon can have good motion controls on the Wii U, Dark Moon could've too.

Beside all that, I did like how the main character is Luigi. I know it's Luigi's Mansion, and Luigi kinda has to be the main character, but Luigi is my absolute favorite Nintendo character, and it's rare when he's the main, important character. I also really liked the online part of the game. However, if someone quit your group, I wish someone else can join in the middle. So yeah, I hate a lot of things about this game, but I still love it and play it mainly because it stars Luigi.

Mario Sunshine. I love the concept of FLUDD, and its fun to mess around for a few minutes, but im stuck if all of the controller-throwing levels. Seriously, a lot of these levels are just so terribly designed, and having to do everything again after a game over is the nail in the coffin.

Not much to say here. I like Nintendo. That's about it.

Bravely Default is fantastic is many ways but unless you fastforward everything the combination of challenging old JRPG ways (grinding ) and mediocre-to-bad storytelling (especially having a party member who has no character outside of being the generic quasi-pseudo ladies man AND WILL DRILL THIS CHARACTER TRAIT INTO YOUR SKULL) is so annoying.

Also the Japanese voice acting blows. It has direction as bad as bad JRPG localizations, ironically! It's like everyone understand what emotions are supposed to sound like but forgot to sound like human beings.

Basically all Pokémon games. It's so fun training pokémon, and battling, but the story is horrible and the forced battles are unnecessary.

Some random dude on Nintendo Life.

Pikmin 3. There have been times when I get excited and say "I'm gonna sit down and play this Pikmin 3 game that I have". And then I play it and get bored and quickly transition to a platformer and I'm instantly feeling better.

Rhythm Heaven Fever. I love the music, the simple and single button control and being the only rhythm game that relies so much on musical cues and less on visual, you can play it with your eyes closed, sometimes even scoring higher than when they are opened.
I hate how strict and unforgiving it is for being off by a tiny bit. It's like hit directly or miss completely even if close. Well at least it's great training for other rhythm games.

Dokapon Journey is the single most creative and innovative board game cross RPG I have ever played.

But the AI have full control of their dice rolls, effectively making them the spawn of Satan's laptop, rendering single player unplayable.

Fragile Dreams: Farewell ruins od the moon. It had an excellent history that made me want to play more, but its gameplay was terribly frustrating.

I have a chronic lack of time, for everything.

Now playing: Okami HD, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
