@Woomy_NNYes Actually, no. But my radar is a bit off, lately, since I'm being heavily distracted by having to study for a career switch. And there were no smileys or "/s" to indicate comedy or sarcasm...
EDIT:
By the way, reading the "entire" thread, which is only three pages, actually is kind of interesting, because it takes you along on the journey of considering which model to buy and ultimately the reason of the choice. Going to the last page, or only reading the headline is like reading a books title or epilogue and saying you've read it...
1. Holy crap I just woke up to like 6 notifications here. >.<
2. I don't get octane either, so whatever, lol
3. I haven't messed with any retro games or the SNES Classic yet, but I already have an idea on how they'll look since I tried Mario Maker 2 on there, the latest level I'm working on is the Mario Bros. style, underground level, too.
4. I'm actually following The Tech Giant on Youtube already, he has even responded to me a couple times in the comments. lol I did ask him if he could look into making a video for the Switch, dunno if that'll happen or not. He said he'll see what he can do, don't think he has one.

@Joeynator3000 I've only played a bit of Mario Maker 2 but it looks gorgeous without tweaking any settings! Maybe I'm just not that picky, but perhaps you have some advice to make it even better?
I did notice that my STB settings are garbage for sports. I watched a soccer match and the colors were way off. Didn't notice any juddering yet, but I may have to dig a bit deeper into that to see what I should focus on.
@toiletduck Fair enough. I was only half serious, by the way, hence the joke and the smiley.
As for good settings for games: I'd say give those videos that I posted a watch, and try out some of the settings that they mention in those for yourself. Results may vary, by the way, for the simple reason that not everyone's room is lit in the same way, so person 1 may have more normal daylight in his room than person 2, and person 3 has his setup in an enclosed game room with hardly any windows at all, or maybe even none, if it's in a basement.
@Joeynator3000 Mario Maker on the Switch doesn't really apply as a good comparison for retro gaming on modern screens. It may be pixel graphics, but they're already natively upgraded/cleaned up on the console (or in the game software) itself, whereas a true retro console, or a faux-retro console like the SNES mini outputs a different signal. And of course, on the SNES Mini, you can add the various filters.
Concerning the Tech Giant: well, whaddaya know? As they say, there's no such thing as coincidence...

@Joeynator3000 Ah, my bad, then. It was kind of a general reaction, though. Mainly because I've seen plenty of people online, also professional testers, saying that the C9 does a brilliant job of upscaling retro consoles and graphics, so it may ultimately be a personal thing as well. Some may like it, and some may not. There's also CRT purists, who'll never like retro consoles on modern TV's, and there actually is something to be said for that point of view.

I need to bring this up, because it is annoying...and I just remembered. Am I missing something here? Or is there another option I need to look at to stop my TV from controlling everything? It's a nice feature and all, but sometimes I don't want to use a certain input for audio...
I thought I have turned it off but my sound bar will still turn itself on or off sometimes. Even when the TV isn't turned on, and I know it's the TV because this has never happened with my old TV. lol
Like last night I wasn't even using the sound bar or TV and had both turned off, but when I went to bed I noticed the sound bar turning on for no reason. It also happened again today, was watching the TV, things were fine....then all of the sudden, after 2 hours or so, the sound bar turns off. >.<

I can imagine that in general, most of these settings will be similar, so you could try and find comparable settings on your TV and soundbar.
And this, for example, is the solution for a Samsung soundbar:
How do I stop my Samsung sound bar from turning off?
You can turn this feature off if you don't like it. To disable the Auto Power Link feature, find the Auto Power button on your soundbar remote and press it once. Each time the button is pressed, your soundbar will alternate between Power Link On and Power Link Off.

@Joeynator3000 Not much of a "let's use that reply button, so people will actually get notified" kinda person, huh?
Alrighty, then. Vizio. Let's see what we can come up with. I still think looking at those suggestions in the link might be an option, and maybe it's as simple as browsing through the soundbar settings and finding some kind of sync or auto off option.

Yeah, I don't really bother witht he reply thing that much. lol
But yeah, in order for HDMI-ARC to work, that feature HAS to be active, which irritates me. It's annoying when my sound bar does random things when I don't want it to. -.-

Yeah that seems to be about other issues...so I dunno...I think I heard somewhere that Vizio bars are weird when it comes to HDMI ARC....ugh. Apparently it's able to output video with HDMI IN, but I've been trying with the Switch and I'm having no luck. Would be nice if this would work instead of dealing with the HDMI splitter. lol

I may at some point, probably not gonna bother with it right now, but it is annoying, especially when watching a movie or something. Would be nice to do away with that splitter, though. lol
I was able to get the sound bar to output Switch video on the old TV, but it seems like either the sound bar or TV had trouble keeping the connection. (mainly because the old TV doesn't have HDMI ARC, lol)

@Joeynator3000 Those types of tech forums are not like the forums on here. Never expect instant answers. Just keep checking your post, and if nothing has happened with it after a day or two, which is the typical waiting period (sometimes even longer, seeing as besides the so-called super users, which are basically just experienced customers and long time LG owners, you're actually trying to contact ACTUAL LG service desk employees), then just edit it, to keep it on top of the list of new topics.
The editing doesn't even have to be any actual editing: just going into edit mode, and adding a space or period somewhere in the text will already suffice to renew the topic, which will put it back onto the first page of new topics, and will see to it that your question/topic stands a bigger chance of being noticed.
