Topic: Let me understand something?

So I reread the page on rules. If I find an image I like I can post it. If I find an article I like and thought others would like I see nothing in the rules against it. Not that anyone said its against rules but a topic was locked because of that.

I have never encountered a General Forum that doesn't like people sharing articles. Maybe I am overreacting though. All general forums tend to love people sharing articles since its always a conversation starter providing its interesting.

So images ok? Now articles found are not? I love sharing articles.

Well, just making a thread to share an url with no other content at all is considered spam, and that's against the rules.

Also, making a separate thread for every single article you like is usually a no-no.

You can advertise such things you like or about yourself in your signature.

Dude, all you do is create a topic and post a link to an article. no description, no attempt at discussion here, just topic title and link to a Huffington Post article. If there's something you'd like to discuss, take the time to actually come up with a topic to discuss as opposed to trying to make this place another commenting area for the Huffington Post, will you? That's all we're asking, and we'd be asking the same if all you did was create a topics for the sole purpose of posting images or random YouTube videos.

Also, the topic was locked not only due to the aforementioned, but because it was about how a woman dressing a certain way would be the reason you'd go to see a movie. Share that kind of thing on your personal Twitter or Facebook, please, not here.
