In case you've been living under a rock, LBJ announced yesterday night on National TV that he will leave Ohio and play in Miami, joining up with D-Wade and Bosh.
Hmmm, Ohio or Florida, Ohio or Florida... such a hard decision...
I'd go to Florida too. D:

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
Yeah, it was a good idea. He was the only reason the Cleveland team was good. Did you hear about the owner's angry letter? I thought it was just horrible that he could even think that.
He left because he wanted to play with other stars, and to win championships. Not cuz of location.
Maybe. The pessimist in me says, though, that if I'm going to lose (whether or not it turns out that way), I want to lose somewhere where afterwards I can go to some hawt club and flirt with everyone.
Winning's just icing on the cake.

They were showing different sports people's opinions on this, and the Tigers manager said he was only interested in where Shaq was going, and he was following that very closely, LOL

Totally agree. Win or lose, Miami is a great city to live in, doubly so when you are famous and rich. Not having to pay state income tax on the 100+ million he'll be earning also adds up to a lot of savings.
Saying location has nothing to do with the decision is silly - even though location probably isn't one of the main reasons.

I know but thats not what I meant. The most important reason is because of what I said above. I think LeBron would've chose to stay home if he if the Heat didn't pick up Wade and Bosh.

I agree and yeah I read the letter. Me and my dad laughed at it, lol. The guy isn't mad James left, he is mad he lost a ton of money overnight.
I think given his show of character over the past few years, it was certainly no surprise. Now Cleveland has some serious cap space and no great players left to choose from. So this season will likely play out with them trying to plug the hole as best they can until next year's free-agent period and draft. Good luck with that.
My Phoenix Suns let Amare Stoudemire go, so they're not in such a great boat either. And as usual they didn't sign anyone of name. Figures!
@Corbie: Lol. Amar'e was just following the money, he doesn't care about winning. If he can't win with Steve Nash, I don't think he can do it with the Knicks.
I still think this is going to backfire on his career. Even if he wins a championship, or even multiple championships, can you really consider him as good as MJ or Kobe (and whoever else) if he has Bosh and Wade on the team? Whereas he could still probably win in Chicago but he would still be considered one of the best ever.
Also, the Cleveland owner is severely overreacting. Maybe if the team actually had another decent player, he wouldn't have left.

LeBron's legacy will be that he couldn't win a title without the deck stacked ridiculously in his favor. You used to hear people say Kobe couldn't win without Shaq. Well, that's over. Now we'll likely never know if LeBron is good enough to lead a team to a title. He doesn't seem like much of a competitor to me.

He's placed a hell of a lot of pressure on himself with this move. With Wade and Bosh on his team, anything less than a championship this season and it would have to be viewed as a disappointment. Of course even if he does win one with the Heat, many will say it was only because he had an unbelievable amount of talent around him. I'm curious to see if Pay Riley can resist the urge to come out of "coaching retirement" again to coach this all-star team.
