So another sad reminder of how bad Kmart is doing nowadays, Kmart will no longer carry video games anymore. The games, systems, accessories they have in stock will be clearenced out immediately which means huge saves. If you have one near you I suggest checking them out for some deals.

The only time I would go to them is on a big game release day like GTA V for example. All the Gamestops and Wal-Marts around me were sold out when GTA V came out but Kmart still had like 20 copies cause I guess no one thought to look for it there.
Still I did manage to pick up some eshop cards that were clearenced out today.

From Kmart themselves, or at least the manager at the store near me. The whole game section was gone, even the glass case themselves where gone. In the store near me the game section now has a bunch of fans and air conditioner units on shelves. What video games stuff they have left are in bins and on tables marked clearence.

We had two K-Marts in our city until last year, when one of them closed down (they clearanced out everything in the store, and anything left was moved to the other location).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

I noticed their games section and selection gets smaller and smaller every time I visit one.
And has been ever since they got bought out by Sears...
All the K-Marts in my area were closed last year. It's a shame, since one of them was the only retail store on my side of the river except for Wal-Mart and Target (which aren't on an easy bus line or even biking distance, btw), and they were up there with AMES as the store of my childhood that I'll probably never see again...
We haven't had a K-Mart here in over a decade. Like around the time Medabots was in the prime of it's popularity. Now there's furniture/clothing stores and a PetSmart in it's place.
The last one in my city shut down at the end of last year. Probably should have went to see what I could get cheap then but well Kmart hardly ever came to mind in regards to games... or anything else really.

I don't shop at Kmart. Whenever I go into one I'm reminded why I shop anywhere else but kmart. Place looks like it's stuck in the 90s and everything from it's layout to customer service and online is outdated. Why the one near me is still open baffles my mind.

I am kinda surprised that the one near me is still open. I have noticed that it has been going downhill for quite some time. The only time I ever see it busy there and I mean busy is the Christmas season otherwise it's like a ghost town.
I think the only reason it's still open it that it's the only Kmart within the area. The ones the next town over closed down years ago even before Sears bought them out.
