Man, I love JonTron. Dunno how well I'll be able to explain some phrases (English is my native but I'm generally bad at explaining things ), but I'd be happy to help spread JonTron love to people who would otherwise not be able to enjoy it.

I'm pretty okay.

Hi guys it's me , I'm back from Vietnam ! No , I've translated Hercules games ! So here comes my questions :
3:54 : "What with the hot pink!" , what does that mean ? I looked for on internet , didn't find anything about this .__.
6:17 "???" I can't understand what he says , it looks like "whatev" but ... No idea xD
7:35 "Yee-ro" does this word means something in English or is that a play on word because it's the same prononciation as "hero" ? Have to be sure xD
11:00 "It feels like there's some real weight to it". Does that mean the sword is heavy ? Because it looks like the sword is light , so is that irony I can"t get ... ?
12:40 " that is the gate of a man who has an epic tale to tell" . Why is he talking about a gate , whereas there is no gate ? Does that mean something else I can't find out ?
12:47 : "Let's do this hoopderscotch!" . What is hoopderscotch ? xD
13:15 "If you catch my cold" . I understand all the words but can't get the sense because he sneezes just after , it means "if you know what I mean" right ? But what's the link whith his sneeze ?
13:23 "It's like they just want to get my pavlovian goin'. My pavlov" . Here again I can understand the words but it looks like there's a play on words when he says "my pavlov" just after as if it was ... I don't know , help me xD
13:49 "it's nothing I'd write home about. " , does that mean "there's nothing left to say" or am I totally wrong ? This sentence sounds weird in my language O_o
14:52 : "trying to cut a jig" , I looked for this word and is he talking about the jig dance ? Because "cut a jig" doesn't seems right xD
17:28 : "We gotta watch people going in and out of the White House for the rest of the time. No thanks, Samuel. " . WHAT THE love IS HE TALKING ABOUT ? Who is Samuel ? Why is he mentionning the White House ? Is it a reference in America or .. WHAT ??

So sorry for all those things to explain but Hercules was really hard for me , he speaks sooo fast and uses a lot of expressions hard for European people to understand (sorry again) , thank you for the help !

3:54 he's making a joke about how in the 80's people couldn't get enough of generic things that were popular only in that time period. So he's mocking how generic (unoriginal) the title and idea of the game is by comparing it to how everyone liked hot pink in the 80's, at the time a very popular color. They can't get enough of the same.
6:17 he said "How'd that happen?"
7:35 Yee-ro, he's joking how that is the correct pronunciation of the food but he wants to pronounce it wrong as Gyro. Yee-ro doesn't mean anything else as far as I'm aware.
11:00 A sword is heavy and most gamers want their games to immerse them, really make them feel like they're the character. So by "It feels like there's some real weight to it" he means that the way the sword swinging is animated, it makes it look like it's heavy to swing. He's technically complimenting the game by saying they did a good job on animating the character swinging his sword.
12:40 I believe he's mocking the model of the character on screen. Referring to how everything below its waist is all black, it's a gate to the tale. Not too sure honestly on this one so maybe others can help.
12:47.Just classic Jontron none sense. XD
13:15 You're right he just means "If you know what I mean". The sneeze is probably just to emphasize he has a cold and to be funny. Again, someone else might want to double check this one, sorry haha. ^^;
13:23 I know Ivan Pavlov was a psychologist and did a study with his dog on how it came to associate certain things with food so I guess he's referencing that? Not sure here either, sorry.
13:49 "It's nothing I'd write home about" is a common phrase in English used to mean "it's nothing special." If you'd have to write home to your parents for example, you'd only write about the most interesting events. So he's saying it wasn't interesting.
14:52 Yup, he's talking about the jig dance! He's saying the walking animation is so strange it looks like he's trying to dance. Which is why he starts dancing in the next scene.
17:28 I think the phrase it self is just random. But Samuel most likely refers to Uncle Sam a figure used in American history to recruit people to defend America.

Hope this helps! Let me know if I should explain anything more clearly and sorry I'm not sure on a couple lines!

I'm prepared to assist as well. Although English isn't my first language, though I handle it well – I haven't seen a single Jontron video for that matter – but I'm keen to apply and test my English skills. Feel free to ask my help if you need any.

oh my God, FINALLY a Jontron related thread! I am so happy right now! Anyways, @Tozesun, I'd love to help you with translating his episodes, but I don't speak any French. At all. Just a couple of words, and that's it.

There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...

@Tozesun Hello I've just seen your thread for the first time and I'd be happy to help with your Jontron translation questions too! I'm a Jontron fan as well, he's brilliant. I don't know whether this will be useful to you now that you've finished the Hercules video, but I can help with some of the questions that @Retro_on_theGo wasn't sure about:

12:40: Although the word gate can mean the type of door you find in a fence, the other meaning of the word is to refer to the way a person is standing, the posture of a person when they are standing is their 'gate'. That is the meaning which Jon is using here, he thinks this person stands grandly in a way that says 'I have an epic tale to tell'.

13:15: This one is a play on words. He's taken the phrase 'if you catch my drift' and changed the last word to cold because of course when somebody gets a cold it's referred to as 'catching' a cold. So like Retro_on_theGo said, you've understood what he meant perfectly it's just that he also made a joke by changing the phrase and sneezing to pretend he had a cold.

Anyway I'll be looking forward to helping with the next video you translate!

Tozesun

@NintendoFan64 thanks for the help You don't need to speak French with me ahaha, just to write for me what I can't understand and explain it to me

@Squashy Also thank you for your help ! It's nice to get better explanations about what he says, even if often I realise that I can't translate his play on words, there are no equivalent in French... It's hard to translate Jontron's! But anyway I still love him.

Dat bird ... xD
Thanks for your help @Geonjaha !
So it's time to ask for THE HELP from you Nintendolife's people who proposed to me their help , @NintendoFan64 , @Squashy , @Squid , @Retro_on_theGo or @ClockworkMario , it's question time about Aquaman: Battle for the Atlantis !

2:24 "Little known fact" , does he mean : "a fact a few people knows" or "an additional little thing you know right now" ?
That's not really clear but not sure to get the right meaning here ...
3:45 "Got to cut out all the C++" , ok I know he is talking about the programmation language "C++" , but why "cut out" ? He had to delete
what he did with C++ to finish his house in popsicles? xD
4:10 "Did he lose it down at the Ol' Aquamill or somethin'? " , well does somebody knows what is "the Ol'Aquamill" ?
Is he creating new funny words with "Aqua" and "Mill" ? As he does then with "Aquaunion" and "Aquadental" ?
5:35 "Unless it's the sole point like in Minecraft" , well I don't play Minecraft but is there a "sole point" ? I thought Minecraft had no end
so why is he mentionning that there's a "sole point" ?
6:02 "Great, lovin' Scott!" , ... Who is Scott ? Is it a current name you use to name someone stupid or something ? (in French we have one
it's Kevin)
7:57 "Taking out???" can't understand what he says xD
8:10 "I think they're getting into their stride" well, I tell you there's no equivalent in French so I wrote something which means the same thing
but I'm not happy with it, when he says "they" he is talking about the developpers, isn't he? The fact that he had problems with the game
but the developpers must feel confident and happy about what they did and don't care about what Jon feels?
10:05 "Break it down" ... I didn't find anything regarding this expression but it sound like "I don't care"?

Thank you in advance for those who will help me ^_^
