For the simple reason that public static arrays that are defined by subclasses of superclasses are changing the values of all of the arrays for all of the other subclasses of the superclass each time I define the array for a subclass, hence I can't have different values for the static arrays in subclasses of superclasses for some retarded reason.
@SUPERZELDAMAN: Basically, what's going on is, I have different groups for different objects. So, lessay I want to have all of the spikes be in the objects and spikes groups. Well, all of the other objects (player, platform, etc.) are getting added to the spikes groups, despite me specifying that those objects should only add to the objects group. It's a stupid inheritance problem.

Clearly Javas logo says its evil with that big skull thing so why did you try to make a game with it even after the warning? (im only joking of course i know what the real logo looks like)
Check out SUBLIME GAMER, my YouTube Channel
God loves you
@SUPERZELDAMAN: Ohhhhh, sorry, I couldn't understand your post. Java has a way of sucking you towards it and then eating your soul away, and it makes you like it at the same time.
@lz2009: Trust me. It's bad. I'll probably have to end up rewriting my entities and groups, which is gonna be an uber pita. GARGOYLES!
You're telling me. Meh, only reason I'm using it is so I can easily share my games with y'all. (That and it's the big thing at all the colleges right now. )
