I had a felling something like this was going to happen, but now it is official. At least I do not own a PSP. Just thought everyone would like to know about this.
Wait, they changed the entire format for their games.....why? I smell failure in all of this.
@Cheezy: No, this is much worse. Instead of losing backwards compatibility from a previous generation, no games for the original PSP, the current generation, can be played at this time on the PSP Go
Ben Cartwright: You and your education. Adam Cartwright: Education is progress! Now what have you got against it? Ben Cartwright: I don't have anything against education - as long as it doesn't interfere with your thinking!
A miserable little pile of polygons! JUST KIDDING, orlick, but I had the opportunity to make that joke. Sorry if I slightly annoyed you. [Spoof of quote courtesy of Symphony of the Night]
The comments here are just silly. What could you seriously expect? A magic device that turns a physical disc into digital software? It's not aimed at people who already own a PSP.
@LZ2009 Most PSP games are playable on the Go while no GBA games are playable on the DSi aside from a handful of mini-games from the Warioware games maybe (though even those might be from the DS one, I forget). It's not an accurate comparison. You can play the same games but not from discs.
