Topic: Is It True?

OK so basically feel free to post any questions/rumors about games here. I actually have two questions of my own:

1. In Pokemon Heartgold/Soulsilver, can you travel to 3 different regions?
2. In the original Pokemon Gold/Silver, could you travel between two different regions?

I'm asking these cuz I may get one of these games, but not sure whether to play through the originals or the remakes.

1. I don't think so...but you can get starter pokemon from Kanto, Jhoto, and Hoenn.
2. Yes, you could. It was wicked fun.

I have never played a pokemon game before and i was thinking of getting either Heartgold or Souls silver. which do you recommend?
