Android. Ice Cream Sandwich sealed the deal for me I'm going to be switching from my slow and laggy iPhone 3GS to a shiny new android phone in a couple of years (Plus that means I can get rid of windows and stay on Linux full time ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hU0xs0V-XY
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
windows phone looks cool in design, but iphone wins the apps

I have a Windows Phone 7 phone. It's really good. It's different from all other smartphone operating systems, and it's internet browser is better than iOS's browser. I've used both, so I know.

haha, i actually picked up an iPhone 3GS just yesterday — i needed it for the Square app so i can run credit cards on my own, and since it's my first smartphone i wasn't concerned about having the latest and greatest or anything. I tried a few of the Droid phones they had in the store (they have a Square app for Droid too), but i wasn't happy with the lag between menu screens, and even that playstation phone (the Xperia one) felt odd and bulky in my hands. i'm more used to the iPhone thanks to my mentor and his crazy love for Apple products, i guess.
ah well. i'm loving it so far, had no idea it had a Kindle app available. i'd kinda wanted a Kindle anyway but didn't want to deal with having yet another thing to carry around with me all the time, so this is a win/win for me :3

Unfortunately because I have Tmobile I have to go with an Android phone otherwise I would go with an iPhone. I dont like the apps that the Droids have I much prefer the iPhone apps since it seems that every app I want is on the iPhone but not the Droid.
I've tested the Windows 7 Phone a few times now, and the interface is just too ugly. I can't deal with that crap.
Android I don't mind the interface off, but I don't like how much of a free-for-all it is. I much prefer that Apple exercises control over the marketplace.

LOL! This is exactly why I love my Windows Phone. The interface is gorgeous (imho), it's not a free-for-all like Android, but it's not too "sanitized" like the iOS.
a few bits i find dated. like the address book looking like a real life one. ghat and a few bits of the notification center clash with the rest of the os.
that and i blame the 4S not adding anything that great too my grievance.

The address book interface is based on a decades (if not centuries) old system for a good reason. It works.
