Back to the Future Syndrome {I know it's not one word, but I feel like sharing this} - [n] When after an individual or more has travelled back in time, what happens is that in the end we are all left confused as to how the sequence of events may have happened without the time traveller(s)'s interference. An obvious example being how Marty's parents fell in love without Marty himself getting involved in Back to the Future.
