JOLIET -- A young woman told police she came home Monday to find an intruder playing her video game system.
The 22-year-old victim left around 2:45 p.m. and returned 25 minutes later to her apartment in the 900 block of Lois Place.

"When (she) opened the door, a man ran out ... and fled toward Black Road," reports said.

"The victim's Nintendo DS was on, and it appears the suspect had been playing it," Deputy Chief Mike Trafton said.

The victim's bedroom was ransacked, and a pink iPod Touch was missing.

What the truck!!! I'm not shocked by the news story, there are scums everywhere, big deal. What shocked me was seeing that you can look at the most recent arrests, which has a photo, their name, their age, their last known address, and the crime they committed. Woah!

Me and my crew of vigilantes are moving to America, pronto. I'm a gonna dispense some justice on teh a55e5.

You know me too well Stevie, Bluntman ftw!!!

That reminds me, I watched the original 1966 Batman movie the other day, it is soooo much better than Dark Knight, super cereal.

Don't worry, neither do I. I wish there was some kind of permanent sarcasm tag, I really need one. D:

Seriously tho', it has held up really well, and it was hilarious.

@Ramandus: You should so turn this into the vigilante thread, totally.

You can't beat the oldschool Batman TV show, I used to love it when I was a kid and there were re-runs on all the time, the fight scenes are ledgendary, BOOM, KAPOW.

Yeah Ridler, Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, Batman and Joker all kicking each others asses, awesome!!!!

Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun, BATMAAAAAAN!
On topic, not very surprising to see this crook playing someone else's DS and ransacking the place. There are, sadly, idiots all over the world who would rather take from others than buy their own stuff. Hope they catch him.

This thread went off-topic in record time. I loved that show too, though.

And the usual suspects (feenie/lz) had nothing to do with it!!!

This story does remind me of the story a while back about the police doing a drug bust who got disciplined for playing the suspects Wii, I guess Nintendo is just irresistible!!!

Now this is weird. Goes to further prove that even criminals play Nintendo's consoles.

Umm.. Why didn't he just take the DS with him and play it at his own place?

Regarding the 60's Batman, I still can't believe Adam West couldn't at least hit the gym before taking the role. I mean, really.

EDIT: Holy sh*t! I just realized I used to live a block away from where the crime occured. If you've ever been to Joliet you'd know break-ins are pretty common.

That's what I was thinking as well, considering that he took the pink iPod Touch. I would've also have liked to know at least what game he was playing. Nevermind.

Not exactly surprising. Just because they're criminals doesn't mean they don't like Video games.

Well, I can't blame the burgler. If I was in a person's house without them knowing, I would use all of their stuff.

Just let it happen.
